Terrible experience all around. Went for transmission "slip". Scheduled an appointment. Waited 40 minutes after that time before car was even pulled in. Communicated I don't want the transmission flushed, as many have told me it will lead to more issues.
First, "we have to do an oil change to even test drive it, it's almost empty" 1000% false. Meticulously checked oil, even 15 minutes prior to visit. Perfect.
Okay fine, just do whatever. $65 oil change that I didn't need, just did one. "The tech recommended a transmission flush, that's all we can do"
Go back to get it, red paint scratch on my bumper that was not there prior too. Guy wipes it off with some kind of cleaner. No apology. Like I inconvenienced him.
Back to square one. Go to do change my oil, bolt is so tight, won't budge. Call "the tech tightened it specific to that vehicle" or whatever. Ask if they can loosen it, as I can change my oil half the cost. "We can't do that since it might leak oil"
Terrible. Waste of time and money. Now that visit will cost me even more, just to get my...
Read moreGave them my car at 8am on a thursday and was told it would take 4 hours to install remote starter. At 5pm they called to say the car was not done; car was finally finished on friday, 4pm. When I purchased the remote starter I was told it came with two multi-function control bobbs whereas I could remote start, unlock doors; what I ended up with were two single-function bobbs that only started the car. Once I picked up my car I noticed I no longer had lights in my radio to show station or time (worked fine before it went into Lyle's), had several other problems (not able to use trip odometer, select English or metric, etc). It cost me approx $300 to have a GM dealer repair the damages caused by Lyle's and this didn't include the radio (today you replace the radio rather than repair it). Some might say Lyle's would have repair the damage at no charge and to them I'd say "screw me once, shame on you; screw me twice and shame on me". Looking to have a remote starter installed or quality auto work done, look somewhere other than Lyle's Auto...
Read moreLyle's Auto was the first stop we made in search for another vehicle. Mr. Lyle waited on us. We told him what we were looking for within a certain price range. My Lyle showed us a few vehicles. There were no gimmicks, just pure honesty. We fell in love with the 2011 Honda Civic and bought it. My Lyle did not try to sell us any addons or other services like other dealerships do. He introduced us to head of the service department. We will be taking our vehicle to Lyle's for further service....
