Horrible dental experience. I scheduled a consultation (and possible procedure) to have my upper wisdom teeth extracted for a 10:00AM appointment. To save time, I went ahead and filled out all of their forms online and digitally signed them. I arrived at 10:00AM, and sat in the waiting room for an hour. After finally being called back, I received a panoramic X-ray for the oral surgeon to check out and build a plan. He came and checked it out after 10 minutes, and didn't go over anything except the questions I had already answered in the online forms. After we went over the redundant information, he said he'd be able to do the procedure today, and left the room. An assistant came in to have me fill out some new forms stating I was ready to go forward with the procedure. She handed me an iPad with an online form to fill out, and she left the room. Comically, one check mark on the form read "I agree that all my questions have been answered and the doctor has informed me of the issues if I do not go through with the procedure." I turned to my mother and joked, because they had not explained anything or asked if I had any questions, but had handed us the form to fill out and left us in an empty room by ourselves. After waiting for close to ANOTHER hour in the back room by ourselves (which by the way is freezing...bring a coat), finally I was told that a room was ready and an assistant was going to start setting me up. I laid down in the chair, expecting to have a mask put over my nose, and be put to sleep (since they had previously asked me specifically if I had been put to sleep before). The oral surgeon, "Dr. Eric," walked in, and told the assistant to go grab some tools. He started to hook up the nitrous mask and place it over my nose, while she fetched a tray of tools and placed it next to the sink. The surgeon then said he needed a couple of specific tools, and she said that they were still warm from cleaning, and he snapped back at her, "Just bring me the whatever tools," in an extremely rude manner. This instantly triggered my anxiety, as I had no idea what my procedure entailed, and obviously this man, about to work on me, was having a bad day. He then asked her to go do something else as he proceeded to administer local anesthesia around my upper molars, not giving any response to my painful groans of his quick and seemingly careless shots. My anxiety continued to pick up as I recognized his attitude and my meds were kicking in. While waiting for myself to fall asleep so I could stop freaking out, the surgeon grabbed my teeth, and started to yank them out. Another assistant walked in while this was happening and asked if he needed help. He snapped back again sarcastically, "YEAH, that'd be nice!". Before she could grab gloves and return, he had already ripped the teeth out and she came back and started to ask him another question before looking down at me and cutting herself off with a surprised "Oh." The surgeon stood up, said, "Ill have someone go over post op with you," and walked out of the room, not to be seen again. I sat there, still heavily breathing from one of the worst anxiety/panic attacks of my life (from start to finish, I was in the room less than 5 minutes), and tried to calm down since it was all over now. There was never any explanation about how the procedure would be carried out or what I should expect, nor did he give me any heads up during the procedure of what he was doing or if I should be expecting pain. All said and done, I overpaid to have my mouth assaulted by the oral surgeon and paid an extra $200 just for 2 minutes of nitrous... I somewhat wish I still had my wisdom teeth in, as the minimal pain they were causing was not worth the experience. Find another place to take yourself or your kids!
EDIT: An important fact to share, is that I told "Dr. Eric" and filled out in my paperwork that I was taking Ativan. After my procedure, they prescribed me Tylenol #3. A quick search found that these medications have major interactions leading to possible...
Read moreSad to say that this endodontics office is merely nothing shy of shameful and rather unprofessional. Let me explain why
first they mess up my appointment , claiming it was at 2 when I got a text and email confirmation confirming it was at 3pm, then they apologize profusely and tell me I have I choice but to reschedule (meaning I have to take more time off work which everyone can’t even do once on a normal basis, let alone twice in the same week) and for the level of pain that I have and the months I’ve waited for this darn appointment makes Me furious
so I come in the next day as scheduled then they throw this outrageous copayment at me, one that I’ve never heard of that is hundreds of dollars , no prior notice given about such payment, and I was told ONCE AGAIN, that I could not be seen unless I pay this fee, for this new scan that I’ve never heard of in my life ( and note that I’ve been to the dentist a few hundred times in my life ) ,
So here I am, once again leaving the office without even being seen, another day wasted, and with this clown show of a dental office. I will say this once to anyone looking to get their dental affairs done, to NOT come here for what you need done, they are unprofessional , unresponsive , informal and definitely not understanding of one’s individual circumstances in life. You will be dissatisfied on every level if you choose to come to this clinic
0/10 recommend + there are many other great dental clinics in Folsom that accept state medi cal and private insurance that will fulfill your needs

Read moreThis is a review of the Folsom office. I was told that I had cavities. I've never had a cavity, so I was skeptical. The dentist didn't review the x-rays with me, which I found strange at the time. When I went to the front desk to check out, I was given a choice of dates to schedule fillings for the cavities that were found. It was never explained to me that I had cavities or needed fillings. I decided to go to a different office to get a second opinion and, after having new x-rays, I was told that I had no cavities. That's the main reason for this review.
I also had two of the worst and most painful cleanings that I can remember ever having with two different dental assistants. I don't neglect my teeth, so neither cleaning should have been so painful, plus my teeth didn't feel clean after either appointment.
Finally, one of my appointments was cancelled by the office. I was told that the reason for the cancellation was my fault - that I hadn't confirmed it, so it was automatically cancelled. However, like all the previous appointments, I had confirmed it via a link that I received one week prior. They didn't apologize for the mistake, nor did they try to accommodate me with a sooner appointment - I was told I could be placed on a wait list. I gave this place plenty of chances.
This company also has a pediatric office in Folsom called Make a Smile. I had a horrible experience with my daughter there and will write a separate review explaining that. My advice is to go somewhere -...
