Harpers Grill — Restaurant in Ford City

Our new favorite burger spot in Armstrong county. Very nice small venue informal dining. Beer and mixed beverages are available. Menu prices are fair-average for the area. We tried the 'Jack Flash' burgers as we were in the mood for a little spice. We also opted for the upgraded sides of fried pickles and waffle fries. The burgers were cooked to order with pink remaining in the centers, which for medium rare lovers has become overly difficult to find these days. The flavors were amazing. The beef patties can be a stand-alone item and are clearly seasoned in prep. (Too many burgers rely on the toppings elsewhere to make them something to talk about.) The waffle fries were crisp and tasty, as were the fried pickle strips. We had a nice chat with the cook who stopped by our table. He encouraged us to stop back and try their newest addition to the menu...hand tossed pizza. He indicated that he spent a good deal of time developing what he calls "the best pizza around" and is very proud of it. We have not tried it yet, but will review when we do. He indicated that the pizza is offered by the slice during lunch hours, so there's no large commitment to giving it a try. Highly recommend giving this location a try if you find yourself...

I have been to this place 3 times and the food and service were good the first two times. The burgers are amazing and the homemade ranch is to die for. I would advise ordering this to go.

I made the mistake of choosing to dine in here the Friday before the 4th of July. I asked my server what beer they had. She said she didn't know. But they had "a lot." I asked if I could peek at the cooler. My husband and I both thought she said it was self-serve. I grabbed myself a bottle after the miscommunication. Obviously, I wasn't supposed to, so I was completely embarrassed. She told us she was overwhelmed when she was trying to take our order. Since we had such an embarrassing situation straight out of the gate, I had very low hopes for what the rest of my dining experience would be like. I ended up finishing my overpriced beer and grabbing my husband's bottle of mountain dew. (There isn't even soda pop on tap.) This was a true waste of $5. I should have ordered it to go and just ate it at home on my couch. I will still order this to go, but that was my last attempt to dine in there. I am tired of going out to eat and paying top dollar at short staffed places only to receive mediocre or low...

Ordered for the first time tonight. Went off many recommendations that everything was great. Sadly I was very disappointed in EVERYTHING. We ordered 5 burgers all with different temperatures. I even called the order in so there would be no confusions in it. To my dismay no temps marked on the burgers that we ordered 2 of the same how we wanted the build your own was not correct items we missing cheese was cut so think it couldn't even melt. Ordered 2 of the Pittsburgh two different temps not marked. It seemed with our order the temps didn't matter cause not 1 burger out of the 5 were correct. Very displeased wanted to support a local business in my town but hard to do it when irders are messed up. I understand the craziness out there but I have been in the restaurant business for 30 yrs you still take time to get the orders correct we were given 1 hour turn around from time of order that's the only thing that was right and the fries.
