To help anyone that needs a ring sized or piece fixed. The lesson I learned here. The jeweler here can only work on gold, silver, or platinum. And the due date on the ticket is not the day you get the piece back, wait for them to call. The reason I rated them a 3 is as follows. My Dad passed in April. I inherited the wedding band he wore to work so he wouldn't mess up his actual wedding band. I told the woman when I dropped the ring off I didn't know what it was made of. Its probably not gold, maybe it's plated but I wasn't sure. I was told repeatedly, that's not a problem. First dropped ball, Well it was a problem, and they couldn't size the ring. 2nd dropped ball, I wasn't informed of this until a week had gone by when I showed up to get the ring based on the due date of the ticket. I was expecting to pick up a finished ring. I was told the ring might not be done since they hadn't called me. Well you can imagine my disappointment when I was handed the ring and it hadn't been sized. Those events led to my first rating of 2 stars. Michael the manager contacted me after my previous review and we discussed what happened. I'm bumping my rating from 2 to 3 stars, based on what I've learned and what Michael has done. He apologized several times and said that this was not how his service dept is handled. Especially not how they handle something sentimental like my Dads ring. That I should have been called right away. Not to be left to find out the way I did. He then offered suggestions on where I might find help. And said he would ask around himself personally and let me know if he finds anyone that can size this ring. He assured me that this issue would never happen again. Let me start by saying that I have shopped at Finks in Raleigh, Virginia Beach, and Richmond and all were great experiences. Unfortunately, the visit that my wife and I had yesterday at the Forest location was less than stellar. Upon entering the store, we were greeting by a woman who at first seemed nice and interested. We were there to look at David Yurman, Tudor, and if there was one in the case Rolex, we were investing in something yesterday until the conversation with the sales lady. I will not share her name; I am sure everyone who works at Finks in Roanoke and Forest know who I am talking about. She stated she worked at both locations. I was surprised by the arrogance she displayed and the willingness to be argumentative with a potential customer. When I shared something, I had read from Rolex she said “I know for a fact that’s not true” that was her go to. I also tried to change the subject and wanted to discuss Tudor and how the quality of the watch compared to Rolex, she was very adamant that there is no comparison and gave me the impression that the Tudor was not a worthwhile investment. We really did not even make it past the case at the entry before we decided that we should just leave and not deal with the salesperson any longer. My wife was disappointed with the visit since she has experienced the great customer service at other Finks locations...

Let’s face it, none of us (in their right mind that is) like to drop big $$$$ on very much. I am certainly not an exception. I was dreading my wife’s rather expensive taste in jewelry to mark our 15th wedding anniversary. For some reason though, I was just agitated the day I stopped by Fink’s Jewelers. Perhaps it was the more she looked at, the better fantasy land appealed, or, maybe, just maybe I was just having a bad day.....We’ll chalk it down to having a bad day. I was agitated until I met the store manager Pam. Pam had a unique way to calm me down and settle the nerves. I was made to feel at home and my best interest was always the heart of the matter during this process, that was clear from the beginning. So in the end, now we have the best wife any man could ever ask for who is on cloud 9 extremely happy with her ring and a husband who understands his wife never asks for much and maybe feeling a bit guilty about some grief he gave his lovely wife. I fully plan on coming back for a set of diamond earrings for our 20th anniversary. A happy wife is a happy husband with a happy life! Thank you, and I look forward to returning for...
