The Brownlee family and Brownlees family grocery has been a staple in the community since before I was born. There is no such thing as a customer. When you walk into the store you are family. I was craving some sweet and juicy watermelon. I have gone to the Farmer's markets and stores and hadn't found any that were good. A family member told me that Brownlees had some in stock. I went and sure enough I bought the most delicious watermelon along with some other fresh produce. This is also one of the only stores that I know that still sells penny candy.
