So I don’t know much about speakers, but I wanted to get into it. I went to D&B sales first bc everyone has heard of them. Well I walk in and the dude is super rude so I walk around look at some stuff and walk back. He asks if I have questions. I tell him I don’t know much and I have a ton of questions and I’m not sure what I need to get. He basically tells me he can’t help and that I need to figure it out myself and then blows me off bc I’m new and don’t know what I’m talking about. So then I went to speaker world bc I had heard they’re super nice and helpful. They are. Best place in town! Would recommend to ANYONE for ANY type of audio. They were super nice and friendly and even tested my sub and made a few small adjustments/fixes to it for free in like 2 minutes. Super super nice guys and extremely cheap. Awhile back, I took my vintage ( 1972) Pioneer SX6000 stereo receiver-amplifier to Speaker World for repairs. They repaired it and I had it back about a week later, at a fair price. While picking it up, the owner showed me some very nice used Pioneer CS-66 speakers, which were in excellent condition, cabinets and speakers. I purchased them on the spot at a great price! He asked me if I was a US military veteran and gave me a veterans discount The speakers sound absolutely great! I am planning on taking my Sony dual cassette deck to Speaker World for repairs, and will browse around while there and see what other great deals they have! Eric was a true professional. He diagnosed the problems I was having with my system. He replaced the radio (headunit) and both 12 inch subwoofer boxes very smoothly with vented boxes. You can tell he has 30 years of experience doing it. Labor costs were not as bad as I thought, especially for the type of experience he has.
