Food City — Local services in Fort Worth

I had an infuriating experience at my local grocery store I had gone to the deli section to order food for me and my family. The bill was $14+tax, I handed the woman a $20 and $5 understanding that I was going to get more than enough change back to leave a tip. under her assumption she thought I have given her $15 and handed me less than a dollar in change. When I asked for the rest of my change she assumed and insisted I had only given her a $10 and $5. When I asked the manager for assistance she reassured me that they would check to see if her register showed any over amount. Management was no help as I requested assistance to further investigate where my change had gone. Rather than defusing the situation the owner was getting angry with me for wanting to understand where my remaining change had gone and under his assumption to resolving the missing money he rudely threw my change towards and belittled me. As a customer who has had many conversations with the owner as a shopper he was UNNECESSARY RUDE AND MISHANDLED THE SITUATION. I just want to say check your receipt, check your change and how much you hand the Cashiers....

I'm in love with their kitchen, they have the best food and flour tortillas in town. I truly recommend the desebrada burritos with beans and rice, when I was eating them I cried because it reminded me of the time my mom could cook for us. Now my mom is super sick and she can't cook anymore. I deeply appreciate the ladies working in the kitchen for giving me authentic home made tortillas and food and making feel that my own mother cooked for me. If you want to feel happy and nostalgic come eat with us at Food City. It's an ok place, I shop here than at fiesta for some quick grocery shopping, been coming here all my life. Mostly people come for the cafe food, which ironically I never tried but it must be really good. If there's a long line, the cashier will just shout for help and they come fast Although there's this white cashier girl who seem to be rude, doesn't smile or interact with customers like the other cashiers/stockers, she can learn to meet halfway in this Latino store.
