Have you discovered the magic of winter hiking? Trails in reel below ⬇️ The snow and ice create a magical experience on the trail yet can pose some safety hazards for the unprepared and uninitiated. Here’s some pro tips to keep your experience magical. 🧥🧤Layers are key. You want to be warm but not sweating. Wet clothes = hypothermia. ⛓️Wear waterproof boots and micro spikes for traction. I also prefer poles. ⛑️Make sure you pack includes the ten hiking essentials including snacks, water, a light source and first aid kit. ❄️ Always check local, recent trail and weather, then come over-prepared for the conditions. ‼️Never hike a trail with out learning basic avalanche safety (REI and other organizations offer courses) https://www.rei.com/learn/series/avalanche-awareness AND checking local avalanche conditions https://utahavalanchecenter.org/. ⛔️ Leave not trace and recreate responsibly on the trail. In order of appearance: 🥾Adam’s Canyon 🥾Willow Lake 🥾Grandeur Peak 🥾Horsetail Falls 🥾Donut Falls Do you hike in the winter? #hikingadventures #waterfallhikes #frozenwaterfalls #winterwonderland #frozenwaterfalls #visitutah #utahhikes

If you make it past the switchbacks, you will not be disappointed! So much beauty and things to explore. Follows a stream that leads over boulders and to a waterfall that is so refreshing. There are lots of little waterfalls along the way, but don’t let them fool you! Keep trekking to reap the reward of a little bouldering, a little river walking and the grand fall at the end. The trail is mostly shaded once you get pass the switchbacks!...

What a great hike. A lot of people but everyone was very friendly. Warning, if you don’t want wet feet don’t do this hike. The water felt great after a quick hike up. There are some tricky spots along the way and I highly recommend hiking shoes for the grip alone. A lot of dogs and families along the way and everyone seems to make it no problem to the top. A lot of parking so...

The trail around this time of year(mid-June) is a bit crazy because of the high water, the trail is eroded and have a couple of detours but nothing a decently active person couldn't do. Treat yourself and enjoy this...
