04/07/2018 I give this establishment a 3/5 stars. Only because I love the staff and their prices are of retail price, typically nothing more not less. But this is why I give them three stars because they tend to not sell an item low every once-in-a-while to bring in more customers, they are comfortable with where they are and do not try to protect themselves to future competition...This is a mistake made by many companies who failed to prepare themselves for the uprising of Amazon and I fear that Bank Street Guns is soon to follow with uprising local competition.
04/10/2018 I completely agree with all of your reply however there has been a misunderstanding. I will make a list in response to your latest reply on why I believe 3/5 is quite reasonable.
Location (5/5) Location is smack-dab in the middle of both Kingman and the surrounding county limits. Not to far away from any one specific place.
Price (3/5) The price of weapons/ weapon accessories/ and ammunitions are fair reasonable prices. Not to much but definitely not inexpensive. The flex in price is very set. There is very little wiggle room to negotiate. If you have the money and don't mind paying retail price or close to retail price this is not an issue.
Employees (5/5) All of the employees are friendly, well groomed, professional, very attentive, fairly educated and knowledgeable in their products, and for the majority of the time very reliable and wouldn't lie to you if they didn't know something.
Environment (5/5) The owner(s) and the staff keep an environment that is very family friendly. They have a cute dog that roams the store that is friendly and not human shy at all. The dog is great for the kids and reassuring for adult shoppers, it helps remind us that the reason we choose to bare arms is not just for the protection of ourselves but for the protection of our significant other, children, and pets that rely on us everyday to come home safely.
Indoor range (3/5) This one is not really for me ,due to the fact that I shoot outdoors 99% of the time, but from the replies of others (not just the replies from this site but in person.) The range is basically set up for handgun users only both for shooting their own firearms and rented firearms. Only brass ammunition is allowed although some people choose to fire steel or aluminum load. This is not allowed at the firing range (something I agree with however some customers are disappointed for this limits them from using the range if they choose not to buy brass.) Self-loaded ammunition is not allowed for safety reasons (again something I agree with however some customers choose to load their own ammunition, by doing so some customers feel left out.) The firing range overall is very basic and meant more for the novice shooter or the person who just wishes to fine tune themselves to their handgun every once-in-a-while just to break in their barrel or to get back into the basic mechanics and fundamentals of shooting.
Business opportunities (3/5) I feel that the opportunity to reach a more optimal audience is being untapped by Bank Street Guns (BSG). This is where there was a misunderstanding from my last comment. I am not saying that (BSG) needs to start selling online to gun "zombies" I was just using Amazon and the monopolization of local and large chains as an example as to what happens to stores when they do not choose to compete with other local or large companies. Amazon was that example due to the fact that many stores ignored the threat that Amazon posed and chose to not do anything about it. I would never suggest that a gun store ever sell firearms online due to the fact that false identification of one's self is widely conducted on a day-to-day basis in the United States and most the world by many individuals. I am only trying to convey these missed opportunities in order to avoid losing (BSG) as a faithful local store.
Proud owner (5/5) I am a proud owner of 5 firearms from (BSG). I support your store and appreciate and respect your opinion and...
Read moreWell first I had an issue with my mossberg 590. Problem 1. Mossberg placed the shoulder strap attachment under the barrel, causing it to get in the way of the barrel. And a self-defense situation I would probably shot the shoulder strap off which is not a problem but who wants to do that. Problem 2. I wanted to add a light to the 590. The owner himself made his way out of the office from behind the counter. And for less than $100 I had a light, light attachment and a three-point Picatinny rail mount that fit right under the barrel onto the tube. Including a QD Mount attachment for my shoulder strap and this took it behind the barrel by 5 in. The benefits are amazing. The shoulder strap has better clearance around my plate carrier I have a thousand Lumen light with four different settings for in and out of the house Target identification. And I'm glad to see the ammo prices are getting better. I thank you to all the employees at Bank Street guns I have worked with everybody, and everyone has the same work ethic...
Read moreVery friendly and knowledgeable staff. May I have the most current information on how to correctly get your cwp. There is a lot of misinformation and scams on the internet that you have to watch out for and they can help guide you in the correct direction so you don't inadvertently spend money you don't have to. Very well organized with a clean layout where everything is presentable. Lots of common ammunition is available along with components for reloading your own. And as for weapons on hand they have a wide variety of pistols from subcompact all the way up to full size and hog legs. They also have a variety of different types of rifles, from AR platforms to standard bolt action, and shotguns along wit a few exotic weapons. So when you're in the market to pick up your next weapon this is a very great place to get information and to purchase you're a firearms from. If they do not have what you want on hand they can easily...
