Went to bed night before starting to feel a sinus infection coming on. Woke up, had green snot, so I know it was a sinus infection starting. It’s a Saturday so my PCP is not open. Went into this Urgent Care thinking I could get a quick jump on treatment. I wish I would have went somewhere else! I explained that I have a history of getting bronchitis really easy and I want to treat this as soon as possible to try and prevent that from happening. Right away the NP or PA or maybe even just an RN but definitely not a DR says they don’t try and prevent you from basically getting sicker. The only thing she would offer to do is an ear wash, which I explained that I have an inner ear issue that I get when water gets in my ear canal. I’ve had a half dozen ruptured eardrums in each ear , so I know what I’m talking about. She is a cold, bitter type person that must be horrible to work with. I feel sorry for the other staff. Her only advice was to do the things I’ve already been doing and to wait until I’m full blown sicker to come back. Which now a 2am in the morning I feel it creeping into my chest getting worse. Very disappointed and have to wait another day before I can possibly get help fro my PCP. If you wonder why people skip this place and go to ER for basic stuff like ankle sprains, sinus infections, etc… It’s because it’s a complete waste of time. If you want to be belittled and treated like an a-hole by someone with a large stick up her butt, plus have your time wasted? This is the place to do it and as a bonus to fleece...
Read moreTonight we visited this location reason been that my son has an infection on his finger. I have visited different urgent cares in the valley and have never left feeling like I do tonight. The Np wasn’t tentative or sympathetic to my little guy. Made me feel like a dumb first time mom (I am not). She asked in a very cold tone “how can I help you?” I explained why we where in there and how my little guys finger go to its current state. She looked at it half a$$ because she didn’t even bother to clean it to assess it properly. Walked out barked at the MA to go wash his hand. MA very nicely and gently tried his best giving the fact that my little guy wasn’t having it. He left shutting the door behind him. I can hear the NP talking on the phone to I assume and actual doctor. Her tone and the way she described our convo as well as her observation of my babies hand was crushing to me. I have never neglected my children before and the way she said it, talked to me and looked at me sure did make me feel awful. I would understand her behavior and her lack of empathy had they been slammed and had I indeed been an awful parent just ignoring my child. I’m not the type to bash many places but I feel that if you go into this profession where you must treat others please love what you do and do it with love, no matter how ridiculous you find the reason for them seeking medical attention may be. Sometimes showing a little compassion...
Read moreFirst visit was on 8/3/22. Provider treated me for a sinus infection. I have a history of them and asked her to look at my chart as the last medication worked great that the Show Low Office prescribed. She didn't want to hear it. I did get prescriptions, but here it is 9 days later and have the same symptoms. Certainly felt rushed out the door.
I called today to see if it'd be possible to get a different prescription without coming in as my wife just had surgery. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and yelled at me for not reading the discharged instructions. I'm sure I'm the only one that didn't read them. I was also told, if I still have the same symptoms, I should go to my primary care doctor. I don't have one which is why I went here in the first place. She didn't think I should come back in and just need to get over the issues myself as there is nothing else further. Its in my chart what I need from a visit at the Show Low Office! She finally said if I felt they need to go back in, I could, but they probably couldn't do anything further.
I also had to hear how they are really busy too so be prepared to wait awhile. No Thanks! Its obvious I didn't matter as a patient here. I don't want to inconvenience them so I'll have to go elsewhere. My first and last visit to Banner Urgent Care in Lakeside. I've never had such an experience at the Show Low Office and cannot wait for that office to...
