My first time in this store was not a great experience. I called ahead of time to ask if they carry certain items. The woman who answered the phone was not overly friendly & told me that it’s a big store, so I’d have to come check for it. My spouse tried calling & asked her if they carry model trains. She gave him the same answer. We got the feeling she is the owner. It is indeed a large store. When I entered the store, I realized the item I was inquiring about was near the front of the shop & pretty hard to miss. I’m not quite sure how she didn’t know they carried it. After a couple minutes of looking around, I heard the female employee/owner? say to another employee, “Wow, that’s a big a$$ purse.” I am 99% sure she was talking about me because the other shopper nearby had a smaller purse. My purse wasn’t even that big & her comment was rude & unnecessary. She was not talking quietly. I also heard her on the phone complaining about certain politicians. There was a family who was buying stuff at the counter. I heard the employee give them a hard time for using a credit card. She was upset they were using a card for a lower priced item. I was surprised by what she was saying to them. I saw other reviews saying that the employees seem to be prejudiced. Sadly, I’m not surprised to hear that at all. I was considering buying something but I decided not to. I love to shop & this store gave me weird vibes & I didn’t stay long. It’s too bad the employees aren’t nicer because this store has a lot...
Read moreI hate leaving any business, especially a small business, a bad review. However, I was treated so badly while in this store that I believe this one star review is appropriate and fair. There were a lot of great finds in this place, including an older Coach purse for a decent price. I looked at the purse, put it on my shoulder, and was glancing at myself in a tiny mirror across from me to see if I liked how it looked. Suddenly, this woman YANKS the purse off of my shoulder and hurriedly says, “I’ll put this up at the cash register for you.” I told her I didn’t even know if I wanted it. I was so offended at how I was physically accosted because she obviously thought I was going to steal a $45 old, used Coach purse, that I immediately left the store! While I understand small businesses wanting to ensure their inventory isn’t stolen, putting your hands on a customer and aggressively pulling a purse off of them is NOT appropriate! You lost a customer and a $45 sale, and if you’re smart, you will talk to your employee about keeping their hands to themselves. Also, it behooves you not to view every customer as a potential...
Read moreBigger than expected n had a lot of things. Hate to say it but most things in there are so over priced its not funny. We found inconsistencies on duplicate things. There are quite a few things around there that say one price n then u will find the exact thing somewhere else in the store but painted different n its a higher price etc. Idk, we go antiquing quite a bit n the prices here are ramped up quite a bit compared to most places we go n have been. This also includes all over AZ n other states. They do have some very cool Damascus Knives. The sheaths are 35 bucks Im not sure what the knives are (really expensive im sure) but you always have to be careful with Damascus. Although beautiful there is always a chance of a weak spot in the blade. More of a chance than a normal single layer blade. Anyway its worth a peek but bring ur big boy or gal...
