I live in Eldorado, about a mile away from the Agora shopping center, so the convenience of having a grocery store close is great. My family and I used to shop at the Eldorado grocery store nearly daily. However, since a specific checker started working there, I now avoid shopping there at all costs. And she didn't disappoint tonight. I'm not sure what her name is, but she is tall, thin, and looks to be in her early fifties. Everytime I go in there, she makes it a point to glare at me and my children, so I avoid using her line. Tonight however, my husband and I, did mistakenly go through her checkout, as the other checker had a customer. She rang in our items, glaring at me the entire time. Why, I do not know. I do not know this woman. I've never been rude to this woman. I cannot for the life of me, understand why she feels the need to treat us this way, and look down on us, every. single. time. we go in there, Well, that is if she's working. I've never had an issue with the other checkers. My husband is disabled and uses a cane, due to balance and coordination issues, he has as a result of his disability. Maybe she assumes he's drunk? Which, if that's the case, she in her arrogance, has absolutely no right to assume anything about anyone. Or maybe she's just flat rude to everyone. I've been shopping at this store way too long, to put up with this kind of behavior. I'm done. Anyway, I put my card into the chip reader, it wasn't reading it, so she turned it facing herself and said, "it wasn't pushed in all the way." And then asked me if I want cash back, I said, "I need to put the pin in." (I didn't want it being ran as credit) She very angerly responded with, "I haven't gotten to that part yet." It was odd to me that she didn't just turn the chip reader back to me, so I could finish the transaction, with my own debut card. For some strange reason, saying, I need to put my pin in, set her off. It made no sense to me. The entire interaction, was her being extremely rude and angry. Her attitude and demeanor is appalling. She has no business working in customer service. It's stinks, that although a resident of Eldorado, I feel the need to drive all the way into Santa Fe to get groceries, due to the anxiety I feel when I walk into that store, with my husband and kids, having her glare at us the entire time I'm in there....
Read moreI live in the Elderado community, and I am at this store multiple times per week since it is literally walking distance from my home. Unfortunately one of the cashiers was very rude. I'll add her name next time I'm in. She is probably 5"5 and has long blonde wavy hair probably in her 50s. I was helping my daughter buy a chocolate in self check out and was planning on going in line after, but my daughter needed help as she's 12 and learning how to use a credit card. This woman stared me down like I was stealing and as I was about to leave to get into a check outline she proceeded to say "don't forget all that stuff hidden underneath your babies stroller". I was no where near exiting the building for her to insinuate I was stealing. I told her I was going to get into a check out line. I hope she gets fired honestly. Not sure if she was racially profiling me, but it felt that way. I know she's seen me in there all the time so I don't know why she would think I was stealing this time. Again I'll be adding her name next time. Disappointing. This happened July 11th around 11:00 am so if you're the manager, and see this she was the one cashiering near...
Read moreThe price of organic milk is just too high! Milk is a major staple for me, and I almost never buy non-organic. I will go without milk and wait until I go to town to buy it, rather than accept the high prices here. Overall, the selection, quality and high price of dairy, produce and most of the other products are not worth the convenience, to me, of having a grocery store in Eldorado. The one thing I consistently buy here is beer- there are some amazing specials on four and six packs, often obscure brands, of micro brews. At the deli, when I've bought coffee to go, I find the quality and price preferable to that of the local coffee shop and the gas station. I really want this to be a great supermarket! Can it morph into Trader...
