I have never in my life been more compelled to write a Google review for a store. That’s saying something, because I leave reviews regularly — but this experience at Kathi’s Crystals in Boulder, Colorado absolutely deserved it.

Jack, the shop’s owner, is easily one of the nicest, most patient people I’ve ever met. He spent hours with me and my girlfriend, pulling out piece after piece from his stock so we could see, touch, and feel them up close. His knowledge was mind-blowing. He could tell us exactly where each crystal came from, how it was sourced, and endless fascinating facts about every mineral we asked about. You could feel that this wasn’t just a job for him — crystals are clearly his passion.

I’m an extremely picky buyer. I have very specific tastes and high standards when it comes to crystals, and I can confidently say Jack’s collection is on a completely different level. It easily surpassed every other store I’ve ever visited, and that includes high-rated Etsy shops. He told me he personally hand-selects every single crystal he sells. At first, I wasn’t sure if that could be true — his shop has a LOT of inventory. But after spending time there, it became obvious. Every single piece was exceptional.

Jack has an incredible eye for beauty and quality. I found myself drawn to so many pieces that I ended up buying multiple — and that almost never happens for me. The care and pride he takes in curating his collection really set him apart from anyone else in this business.

Getting to visit Kathi's Krystals was one of my most special and fondly remembered times during my visit last year to Colorado. Their collection of stones was fascinating and Jack spent over an hour talking to me and my friends about the collection and patiently going through stones for me to purchase. Both the inventory and Jack's knowledge of the stones was extensive and high calibur. I only wish I had more time to learn and go through it all! I left feeling more than estatic about my new collection and was also amazed at the prices! I got way more than I had hoped with what I anticipated spending. I can't voice enough how much I appreciate Jack and what he shared with me that day. My stones mean the world to me, and the experience of getting them was ever so special. Thank you! UPDATE: I got to have my second visit in October 2015. Jack had a fresh palate of the most amazing hematite sphere geodes and I got first pick! I made sure to save up money just for this visit and I am happy I did because I left with some of the most beautiful pieces!
