I started going to Asher sometime around 2012 and they had been my local brewpub since. I’d spend a couple of grand a year, so I’ve probably dropped 15 grand there over the years. I preferred the Douple IPA, but the Green Bullet would do in a pinch. They’ve had a lot of bartenders over the years. Ari, Knox, Madison, Kate, Jules, Fernando, Monique and couple more I can’t remember off the top of my head. I like them all, tipped them all well, they put a smile on my face when I walked in the door. They were good at their job. Bree is not like the rest. She is a snotty piece of work who literally couldn’t handle being told that she wasn’t very good at her job. She leaves you with an empty mug and has that irritating millennial whine down pat. She had me 86’d and Chris Asher is such a weak kneed puke that he let her. The unfiltered beer was killing my gut...
Read moreFor some reason google is not letting me rae decor or anything like that so here's my scoop on the place. It's localed in a business district kinda hard to find. From 63rd It's a right then another right from Nautilus Ct. After that you'll find the place as basic as any. No food served here but the beer is good. When I went here there was a little young girl bartending, Jewels... she was kinda into the old music from the 60's but we convinced her to play some much more modern music. Which was exactly in my liking. The beer is.good and plentiful with flavor. No food served here but you can order takeout or delivery to this location. I ordered Chinese but there are other including pizza. The place is clean and inviting, friendly by locals and staff plus it has outdoor seating. I want to give a five-star rating to this place but need me to drink...
Read moreI have enjoyed a good pint of beer at Asher Brewery since they opened and it was "the place to be" for us local's. However I must say that it has turned into a "ghetto tap room". So sad really as it could have been an icon for the area much like the "Cheers bar" in Boston. Asher was our first Gunbarrel neighborhood tap room. Unfortunately the owner has apparently decided to scrape up the dregs form Avery, instead of stepping up, not to compete but to continue to create community for there neighbors. Tonight as I now have bought my last growler form them I say farewell and good luck. My decision has been made easy as the quality of beer and local atmosphere has not kept up with the competition that has come to the area, organic is not an excuse...
