I've taken my family every year to the Sheepdog Classic competition and festival, held over Labor day weekend. It is a lot of fun if you love dogs, which we do. 😁 My younger kids love the Dock (splash) and agility dogs. While I and my older kids love the sheepdog competition. We all love to watch the highland games, though this year they held them through the sheepdog finals, so we missed most of it, except the last part of the caber toss. (Basically tossing telephone poles end over end. It's fun to watch). Oh, and can't forget the bagpipes! The group that performs each year is outstanding. The food is good too. Though I have to put in a plug for the organizers to bring back the Putine vendor. I just wasn't the same without my Fries, gravy and cheese curds. 😁

The ice castles are definitely on our family's winter 'to do' list now. So beautiful and fun for all ages. In the castles it is a little hard to walk, and you'll definitely want high top shoes or boots so no snow gets in. Go after dark, it lights up beautifully! It is busy, but worth the money and the wait. Fun slides and sleigh rides for the family!

The ice castle was awesome! Well worth the money. Dress accordingly though, it gets pretty cold. If you aren’t wearing build you’ll get snow inside your shoes for sure. You’ll wanna bring gloves also. They also sell hot chocolate

It was a very cool experience, but there are ignorant people who destroyed and broke icicles just to take a picture for Facebook!! Also in front of the port-o-lets it was solid ice and my husband fell, they need to salt in...
