We stayed at Zion Lodge for 3 days at the end of November and didn’t regret a single minute. The location is incredibly convenient—right inside the park! Our room was on the second floor. The heater worked perfectly, keeping it warm and cozy despite the chilly weather. The view from the balcony was breathtaking; one day we saw deer, and on another, wild goats. The only downside was the old mattresses, which might be uncomfortable for those with sensitive backs. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay!

I had an excellent lunch after a long day of hiking. The menu was somewhat limited since I visited in the off season, but just as tasty. I had the turkey club with fries and a cup of tomato bisque. The food was delicious and affordable given it is the only place to eat inside the park. The staff was friendly and they had a mixed selection beverages including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. There is also ample seating inside and out on a patio.

It was a pretty autumn day so it couldnt be anything but beautiful. Despite being too many people and the hustle and commotion of the buses. I'm not a fan. I think it has detracted from the overall beauty and their goal has been anything but successful. I'm sure I am wrong too. I just remember last time by I was there pre-bus was much less confusing and more open feeling. But that was 30 years ago. What made it special for me was seeing the area where they filmed "The Eiger Sanction," a Clint Eastwood classic. The old lodge has been replaced and the swimming pool is now a parking lot. It was still great though envisioning Eastwood and George Kennedy hanging about with the film crew in 1975. What...
