It was just a few months ago I came across one of Dan's videos on his YouTube channel. In one of them he just threw out cutting up your underwear to make char cloth... the guy is hilariously funny. And it was a while before I even realized that he sells his own gear online. I'm not a 'bushcrafter', but I am outdoors a lot on the beaches of San Francisco for long walks and I do film photography and filmmaking. My camera kits are lenses and bodies and the film itself and cable releases and I'm always looking for good ways to keep those well stored, especially when I am outdoors with them. I got the Small Zippered Catch All Bag and its become my wallet. Its slim and durable and very well made and its been perfect for someone like me who doesn't over slots for cards, etc. And its passport sized, which I liked. I'll definitely buy again from Coalcracker and I have my eye on the Camouflage Duffel Bag. Buying on the website is easy and I wrote to them with one question and they got back to me right away. From PA to SF, no problem with the shipping. Thanks All at Coalcracker... love what you're doing... including burning...

Read moreI purchased the Coal winter hat and I am very pleased with it. I am traveling the US in my van and have been on the road 7 months, but where I am camped now we have had several nights in the -6F range with highs of 16F. My old cap had shrunk so I had to stretch it to cover my ears but, over time, it would creep back up leaving them exposed to -14F wind chill temps. This new hat fits perfectly, is very warm and is plenty large enough to cover my ears easily and remain in place. Such a simple piece of gear that you only notice when it fails, it is great to have a high quality cap again that I can use without thinking about it. For anyone considering buying this hat, just do it and you will be as pleased as I am. Fast delivery with no issues. I am a...
