If I could give this place no stars, I would. I took my PC to this guys shop to get a diagnosis on why my PC shut off on me randomly while gaming. I called to ask a price on the diagnosis and he said it was $100 so I took it to him and he stated to me that he would hook it up and do the diagnosis for me within two days, while I was there he hooked it up and I asked him if everything looked good and he said "Yes, but I am going to go over some things on it" He said "I will give you a call." I never got a call or update on my PC until I called him, he then stated to me that I needed a new motherboard (when he originally said I didn't), so I had purchased a ASUS X470 Pro off him for $250, he then stated that I would need better cooling so I had bought one of his Cooler Masters for $175, by this time it has been over a week since he's had my PC. Almost 2 days later, I call for a update and he then told me I need new RAM sticks, so I bought new ones and brought them to his shop. He then said "Okay, give me another day or two and I will have your PC done and ready." I called 3 days later to ask for an update and roughly a total and he said the subtotal would have been around $450 over the phone. When I had arrived to his shop, he then said that his systems were down and could not give me an exact amount at that moment. So, I waited for over a hour, in the cold, for him to tell me the price and he told me he needed to complete updates. He then came outside and told me that my balance was well over $600. At this point, I just wanted my pc back, so I paid the balance, got my PC. I got home, I plugged it in, turned it on and it kept blue screening on me, I called him and explained to him what was going on, he said to bring it back to him to re-install Windows correctly. I already had the back of the PC off and I noticed my super clean wire management went from organized to a disaster and on my Cooler Master plugs he put hot glue (which he stated was epoxy) all over them, all over my wires, all over my case, the front and the back. While I was re-wiring I noticed the 24 prong where it plugs into the board had a big chunk of plastic taken out of it and was visibly broken. He didn't give me the back cover to the motherboard and I was missing multiple mounting screws all over the place, I'm missing all my extra wiring that came with my Cooler Master, also the extra bracket. He said to bring it back to him so he can do the install, also denied ALL the things that I said was wrong, also stated that it would be another $100 charge to do the install, on top of paying my $600 balance. That's not counting what I had to pay to get a diagnosis again (off another shop). I would call plenty of times with no responses at all. I never taken my PC or any game console to get worked on, pay a ridiculous amount of money, not get any type of update and the thing still doesn't work properly. I had to take my PC to another shop just for him to do the correct install and update all drivers. I do not recommend this dirty low-life to anybody that needs a repair or anything business-wise. His shop is absolutely disgusting, there's no room to move, let alone stand. There is customers PCs, Consoles, Phones, TVS, and all sorts of other things scattered throughout the floor with dust on them. He scoffs at you like it's a problem to ask about a update on the progress. It's an absolute mess. Again, DO NOT do business with this guy, he's a liar and will sell you broke and used parts, smile in your face and say they're brand new. Do not degrade yourselves, your money or product by going to this guy, do research and find someone who is actually willing to put time and effort into your build or essentials. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VERTIGO...
Read moreThe outside of the building looks great and I hope one day they can expand on that.
Inside the shop is a health hazard of biblical proportion. No lights, maybe 1 or 2 electrical sockets. Absolutely no room to move around. Wall to Wall shelves filled haphazardly with random bits and bobs. Pieces of construction material all over the "pathways" that the worker uses to navigate between the piles.
My machine was up there for 2.5-3 weeks to get serviced. I had told them exactly what was wrong, it was a trivial thing that I just didn't have time to do myself. Should have been a week at the most extreme.
When I finally got it back and was charged close to $200. Which was grossly over priced. The machine still wasn't fully functional. Literally none of the fans inside the machine are spinning. And it's a high powered machine. So it overheats instantly.
I wanted to like this shop. But there is just simply no way I can give a positive review after 3 weeks, $200, and a machine that still doesn't...
Read moreRyan at Vertigo is the absolute bomb when you need serious computer help. I am in awe at his extensive knowledge and expertise in solving difficult problems. I took my old computer to Staples in order to have them transfer everything on my hard drive to a brand-new computer. They couldn’t do it. I took everything to Ryan and he magically restored everything on my hard drive. Some of my old programs were no longer usable on Windows 10 but he managed to save THOUSANDS of emails using Thunderbird. I am beyond grateful to him for salvaging my Quicken, my Quickbooks, all my Passwords and usernames through Google when I could not recall my Google username or password. It’s all there!!! It took a lot of work and a lot of time but he never gave up. Thank you, Ryan,...
