AVOID THIS SHOP
I brought a pristine 3ds console in for a top screen replacement and received it back with new physical damage to the charging port that wasn't present when I dropped it off. Needless to say, the console wouldn't charge anymore and it was given back with a dead battery.
I dropped the system off again to give them a chance to make it right, and was told the problem was the stock battery needed to be replaced on top of the charger port. It was received back this time with several DEEP gouges in the plastic from metal tools, stripped screws, and part of the PCB melted. The charger port was NOT replaced, only Jerry-rigged to work with a copper contact charger pad from an entirely different device. It is soldered on crooked too, so now doesn't even work with my charger dock. The stock battery was not the problem, but now has a gouge in it from a metal tool. Pictures of damages incurred by this shop included as part of this review.
I can't recommend this shop, as my device was returned more and more damaged each time, and they claim to test devices and clearly don't. They will charge you for issues that could have been ruled out by actually testing it. From what I've seen, they have very poor workmanship and little to no care for your devices.

Read moreThank you DMar for the perfect repair experience! DMar electronics is the engineer's engineer! This is where you go when you realize, ah snap, what did I just do and no one else can help you. I had bricked my expensive server with a bios upgrade that went badly. The machine would not power on. No fan, no display. I know all about motherboards with builtin backup bios that's supposed to prevent this, but that doesn't always work (as in my case). You can go down the path of attempting in-circuit reprogramming or trying your hand at desoldering a chip the size of a grain of rice, but chances are you will fail. I tried multiple paths including returning to the store that performed the original custom build, but they are not setup for this type of work. DMar desoldered the chip, reprogrammed it and had it back in running condition for a very reasonable price. They are also very friendly, honest and professional. This is my first time here but they appear to be a full service advanced repair company, versus focusing just on mobile devices like many other repair shops. This is where I'm going for my next custom...
Read moreOne of the most capable repair shops I've ever found. Not only can they do routine jobs like phone glass and battery replacements, they also seem to be the best microsoldering specialists in the state. They fixed all of my issues within a week, and all for a very fair price. They even roll the diagnostic fee into any further fees.
For context, I brought them two motherboards that were inexplicably bricked out of the box. I had no idea about where to start but they still managed to identify the issues, replace the defective parts, and, rather than charge me an arm and a leg to source anything they didnt have on hand, rerouted the circuitry to avoid anything that was irreparable/redundant.
When the job was finished, they sent me a thorough series of photos and explanatory notes about what exactly was wrong, how they fixed it, and photos of the boards posted into bios after the repairs to prove they were working.
Very happy with this place and will be sending more...
