Pops And Son Diner — Restaurant in Frankfort

I came to this dinner with high expectations of receiving good wholesome food. My dreams were totally crushed after receiving this poor excuse for a meal. Where to start? Upon entering the establishment, we were not greeted by the staff or any of their patrons. The breakfast that I intended on getting stopped shortly before I got there. Probably a good thing as the food is lackluster and below standard. When placing my order I was told that the food was homemade and fresh. I should have thrown up a red flag when I wasn’t able to have my burger the way I like. So the lies begin. My burger had absolutely no flavor and was well overcooked. The fries tasted like air. The burger was nothing more than a frozen patty you could obtain at your nearest grocery store. Felt like I was chewing on a tire covered in pickle juice. I couldn’t even finish this tragedy on bread because of the bad taste. Seems like all of the 5-star reviews were all employees and/or friends. Will not be returning. I enjoy all the diners in Frankfort and came across this one and decided to try it and let me tell you don’t waste your time or money here. My burger was 4.89 and it was a prepackaged precooked burger. It was dry and dense no flavor. The lady that took my order was rude and I over heard her talking to a lady that ask if the onion rings were homemade and the lady working lowered her mask and very quietly said no and something else I could not hear and the lady ordering food said she didn’t know what she would be getting if anything. My husband and I like to visit the local diners. This is the second time we have stopped at this diner and both times we were not acknowledged several minutes after sitting down. The first time we waited about 20 minutes and they weren't even busy. This time we waited about 15 minutes and decided to get up and go elsewhere. No hello, be with you in a minute, no nothing.
