MOST Unexpected GEM for Indian Food Lovers!
I randomly pulled off the highway for gas—and stumbled into one of the most unforgettable Indian food experiences I’ve ever had in the U.S. (And believe me, I’ve eaten Indian food coast to coast.)
This unassuming stop turned into a culinary surprise. The three ladies who run the place are absolutely delightful and eager to recommend what’s best that day.
Their chicken dishes? Next level. Tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth—none of that rubbery stuff you find elsewhere. (They use Amish chicken, and you can taste the difference.)
Do not leave without trying:
Goat Bhuna
Chicken Curry
Chicken Saag
Goat Curry
And yes… the sweets – totally worth it!
Check the menu on the left for the daily specials, which often feature traditional vegetarian dishes that feel straight out of a home kitchen.
These days, every time I’m driving from Cleveland to Columbus, Cincinnati, or anywhere down south, I make sure to call ahead, place an order, and pick it up on my way home. I pair it with some quinoa for a low-carb dinner, or with yogurt and rice if I want to go all-in. Trust me—this food deserves a proper plate, not your car seat.
Grab a couple of dishes and thank me later.
Thank you ladies for doing what you do and wishing you huge success in adding more foodcarts like this all over the state (but it has to be home cooked like you all do...
Read moreI just happened on to TASTE OF PUNJAB DHABA, was looking for Indian food when I was in Marion and while they didnt have any, Most referances were for delaware, columbus or mansfield. This one popped up near Mt Gilead, Not to far from my home. They have a number of meals, based around both chicken and goat.
I went over one Saturday evening and found the food truck, Its behind the gas station near the subway. Just a note, As this food is good on demand, you will be waiting 10-15 minutes for your food. They might have an online order but I didnt look for it or use it.
I ordered Tika Marsala chicken, a couple of pieces of Nan bread and a mango Lassi.
The Tika Marsala chicken was very good. Nice spice level. It was severed as two parts, a box of rice and a container of the chicken marsala. There was a lot of rice and chicken, I suspect you could make this a meal for 2 people. I was very happy with this meal.
I didn't like the nan bread, it was very soggy and not crisp like most places.
The mango Lassi was good and at $3 was not badly priced.
Overall my entire meal was close to $20, a bit pricy for a food truck meal, but based on quantity of the main meal if you feed two people its not to bad.
Overall I would go back again. I hope the soggy bread was...
Read moreThis is a mobile makeshift food outlet stationed in the shell station. While returning from Akron to Erlanger on 25/5/2025, we ordered roti, rice, veg puneer masal, dal makhani and dahi puri & masala puri over phone. We reached the place within 25minutes of ordering. The ladies who manage the outlet, kept everything readily and perfectly packed. We ate the packex chats there it self. They were so yummy and really went directly in to our heart. Had tea. Really after 14days of away from India, I had a superbly tasting CHAI. Maa and Beti are so humble and hospitality minded persons. They keep on asking about the tastes as we were having chats and Chai. They even informed us to contact them after having the dinner en route to inform them about the taste n suggest any improvement in the tastes.. Price of food is also cheep (when you know you are in USA !) Oly requirement is a lo make some sitting arrangements for those who want to sit n eat n enjoyj there itself.
