Driving through from Cincinnati to PA and was not impressed with the entire experience. Hopefully it was just an off day but every person we interacted with just seemed unhappy. Not a smile while we were in there. I asked a couple questions about things in the case and answers were very short and almost seemed like I was wasting her time.
I ordered the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and although it took a very long time to make it, it looks amazing and is a huge portion. However, it has bacon on it and I do not eat pork. I should have asked but I did not and it did not indicate on the menu that anything else was on it besides macaroni and cheese and buffalo chicken.
Before I threw it away I called to ask if it had bacon on it and they said “yes it has bacon and breadcrumbs” and I said “oh okay I didn’t realize that and I don’t eat pork” she said “yes, I’m sorry”….and after the pause I said “okay well thank you” and she said “thank you!” And that was it, very weird interaction as far as customer service goes. I can’t relay this over text but I did not call unhappy, I was very kind throughout the call, I guess I just would have expected something like “oh yeah we should probably have that listed on the menu” or a “if you’d like to come back we could remake it for you”.
I did get a donut as well which is okay but overall poor experience and will not be stopping again when we...
Read moreI so wish this was a five star experience for us. The people working there were extremely friendly and helpful. We chose a cookies and cream long John, yeast raised sprinkle donut, a hot cross Bun, a lemon bar, buckeye bar and brookie. The cookies and cream donut was quite possibly the best cream filled donut we’ve ever had. It was rich and heavy and the cream was just perfect. It was so good we ate it before I remembered to take a picture so it’s not in our photo. The sprinkle donut was also good. The hot cross bun had excellent flavor although it was a little dense and chewy so we enjoyed it most after warming it slightly in the microwave. Unfortunately, the bars are where they lose a star. They all looked perfect and the texture was divine. But they all tasted bland. The lemon bar was the best as the shortbread was good but there was no zing from the lemon. The brookie and buckeye bar were just not tasty. They tasted as though they had hardly any sugar, chocolate or peanut butter in them. We had three people with very different palates try them and they didn’t work for anyone. We will definitely be back when we’re driving between Cleveland and Columbus, but we will be sticking to the amazing cream filled donuts. Oh and the drip Coffee and bottle of Ohio milk were also delicious to go...
Read moreFirst, let me clarify my perspective. I was traveling across the states to visit some family.
I remember seeing this on the sign next to the highway exit, but I only topped by recently; and I am glad I did:
I ordered a panini, Italian soda, blueberry fritter, and a cinnamon roll.
Overall; the time it took to cook compared with the quality of the food; exceptional. I would like to thank the cooks for the time and hard work they put into that panini.
You can tell they rotate the pastries out at just the right time. Most of the time at bakeries or places that serve pastries, you have to be a little concerned with how long the food is out (making some pastries go stale) but whatever they are doing here; they got that timing right on the mark.
With beverages like Italian sodas or the French cream, you likely may be concerned with the temperature. But they got that on the dot too.
There is tables set up outside, and with how approachable and professional the cashier and other staff were; it really added to a cozy atmosphere that I would associate with a cafe. I really wish I would've gone here while I was still studying my...
