We have gotten all of our appliances from Allied over the years and have been satisfied so we decided to get our kitchen cabinets there. We were going to do a complete renovation and needed a contractor. Both Owner Paul and his employee Terri, who is their cabinet person, highly recommended Steve Eisenmenger to do the job. Due to the recommendation we did not check to see if he had any complaints etc.. At first all was good. He helped with the layout and conferred with Terri and us. Plans were made and after discussing a time frame, done before Thanksgiving 2016, we decided to go ahead. It was September. After work started things went downhill. Steve did not get subcontractors notified in a timely manner and we would sit for weeks with no kitchen waiting. When they would come they wouldn't know exactly what to do and he did not show up to show them. He made decisions for us without discussion. End result was not done until after the first of the year, we did a lot of the contacting of the subcontractors ourselves, and a kitchen that was not done to our satisfaction. Every time we would contact Paul he would defend Steve and say he didn't work for them. We have not only been disappointed in the job but also in Allied's part in their recommendation. To this day things are not resolved, which is the reason for this review, Steve did not pay all of the subcontractors and so we ended up paying them and him. Please when it comes to cabinets if Steve Eisenmenger is their recommendation please go...
Read moreCalled Allied Appliance to take a look at my drier that was working fine until it stopped heating. I assumed it was the heating element so I called Allied Appliance hoping for a quick fix. I let them know the model of the drier and they sent a repair man over. He took it apart and let me know it was the heating element but didn't have the part. He said he'd go back to the shop and call me with a quote. I was quoted $530.67 to fix it. We both agreed that it's not worth fixing at that cost and then they tried to sell me a new drier. I knew someone with a used drier so I declined buying a new one. After I got off the phone I looked at a YouTube video on changing the heating element. I bought one from Amazon for $34 and changed it myself. It was the first time I'd done it and it took me about 45 minutes. The drier is working great again. I don't understand how they could quote me $530.67 to fix it. I feel like I was getting played. I just got the service bill for $101.65. I honestly feel like I made a mistake by calling them and I won't be...
Read moreMy dishwasher wouldn’t drain so I called Allied Appliance. I was told it was $85.00 for a service call to determine what was wrong, then any additional parts and labor would be discussed. The tech came out and he was very nice. The drain or hose leading to my garbage disposal was clogged. My husband got a bucket, they emptied the hose, and the tech left. Took about 20 min tops. I get a bill today for the service call of $85 and $15 labor. I call to inquire about it and a very rude man named Paul called me back and said “well he fixed it, didn’t he?” Yes Paul, he sure did but I absolutely feel mislead. Paul told me it’s $85 “to start the truck and go over there”. In fact, Paul said he’s upset with the tech for not charging me more. This is a sad way to do business and Paul could’ve made the whole situation smoother by being kind and explaining the process professionally. The tech should’ve mentioned there would be additional charges. And Paul should learn some customer service skills. Sadly, I will pay the bill and take my future service...
