My nails look amazing
Update on this. I did like last time so I went back. But now I do not like the attitude. This was my 3rd time going to this salon. Last week, I walked in with my friend to do nails together. We did not make an appointment earlier. They are under staffed always. Only 2 ladies at a time. My friend walked in before me so they could fit in just her. After me waiting for 30 mins (I did not mind since I had my friend we were chatting), 1 lady attended me to do my pedicure. The main lady said she'll do my nails if her other customer doesn't show up on time. She had just started with my hands, and another lady walked in who had made an appointment earlier. So this lady just jumped and went to attend her and asked me to wait until she is done with her. I said I couldn't wait and said I'll make an appointment next week and come back. Forward to next week I made an appointment and when I went at my time there was somebody else again 2 ladies taking care of 1 lady and yet again I sit and wait for 30 mins even after taking an appointment. Why didn't she jump to attend me this time!!! Well after 30 mins I asked what I wanted and she starts working with extensions n all fast forward to 1 hrs n 30 mims we are about to do polish, chrome n design which I asked her to do from the beginning. I wanted green chrome she said ya ya not sure if she even understood. And goes ahead and puts silver chrome on my green nails, and my nails look icy blue, which is totally what I was not looking for. She did not even give me a sec to process it through she went ahead and put it on all nails of my right hand ( here she is rushing because she had 2 more customers waiting looks like they made an appointment) and now she is doing sloppy job on me. I didn't like what she did i asked her to remove the entire chrome and do the gold design and chrome on top of just the design and now she is mad at me for asking her to remove what she did and she said no I don't have time to do design and if you don't like it you'll ask me to remove again!!! What the hell? I made an appointment, and she took 2 hrs of my time already, and she did not do a good job on top that showing attitude to me. I reminded her that I did take an appointment for this. How can u say u have no time. And she goes on again u ask me to remove it again. When u charge so much and when we keep it for a long time we have to like what we see. Pathetic service! She over books with less staff and does a sloppy job even after spending 2 hours. Here is am 2 hours later, no Chrome nails, no design!! With a bad experience early in the...
Read moreNever in my life have I experienced such shocking customer service! I'd give zero stars, if I could.
While one service provider placed me in a pedicure chair, removed my toenail polish and soaked my feet, the other service provider was very angrily yelling at a walk-in customer (who also said that she will never come back.)
While I sat in the pedicure chair soaking my feet, pricing was discussed. At first, I was quoted $185 for 'full' ombré dip manicure and 'full' treatment pedicure. Since that was too expensive, I asked to see the cost menu to reduce costs. I then selected a 'basic' pedicure + paraffin wax for $45 and full ombré dip manicure for $55 = $100 total. Then, my pedicure provider said that I must pay an additional $10 for removing calloused skin from my feet because it is not provided in the 'basic' pedicure service. I agreed to $55 pedicure = $110 total.
After the angry service provider finished yelling at the other customer, she comes to me and angrily insists on $10 more than listed on the menu for my full ombré dip manicure. Now she says $65 for my ombré dip manicure plus $55 for pedicure = $120 total. I agreed to her additional costs, and calmly added, "This is expensive. I get full pedicure with massage stones and paraffin wax and a full set ombré on my hands for $100 in Saratoga." My stating this fact made the angry provider irate! So, the angry provider terminates my service with no paint on my toes, refusing to allow the pedicure provider to even help me clip my bracelets back on my wrists (a kind customer did), all the while she repeatedly insists that I must leave to, "Go get cheaper!"
How I was shocked with her anger! With soaking wet feet, she demanded that I get out of the pedicure chair without even offering a towel to dry my feet. She kept angrily repeating, "Go get cheaper!"
AND SO I DID! I drove two blocks down street to 'Pretty Nails' at 37525 Niles Blvd in Fremont. At Pretty Nails, the providers were beyond kind. (Helen even stayed late to accommodate me.) I had an ombré dip manicure and pedicure done for $90.00. I am so very grateful to have found Helen at 'Pretty Nails.' What a lifesaver! And, what a difference in the 'vibe' there! No yelling at customers! Just kind service providers and acceptable pricing, less than a 30-second drive away!
I will never return to Co Co Nail Salon again! That angry provider truly needs help with her anger management, price gouging, and her customer...
Read moreI came here because they offer gel builder, which surprisingly not many salons in Fremont do. I had read great reviews about Lily and Kim, so I tried booking an appointment online with either of them. Unfortunately, the system didnât let me choose a specific technicianâit only allowed âany available.â To ensure Iâd get Lily, I called the salon and booked directly with her.
When I arrived, the salon was nearly emptyâonly one other customerâwhich, in hindsight, should have been a red flag. There were even flies flying around the middle of the shop, which felt unhygienic.
Lily greeted me and asked me to pick a gel builder color. I asked where the options were, and she pointed to a small plaque on her table with only pastel shades. I asked if there were more options, and she mumbled that those were just the âbaseâ colors and I could choose any regular gel color to go on top. I wasnât interested in layering too much product, so I chose a pastel purple to keep it simple.
She asked if I wanted cuticle care, and I said yes. Then came the upsellâbasic manicure for $25 or deluxe for $32, with the latter including a 5-minute massage and paraffin wax. Since my hands were quite dry, I opted for the $32 upgrade and was genuinely looking forward to the massage.
The application process was tedious. She painted one nail at a time and had me cure it under the UV light after each nail. Doing this ten times felt like excessive UV exposure, and no gloves or sunscreen were offered as protection.
Worse, she only applied one layer of color. Every other salon Iâve been to does at least two, if not more, as standard. When she asked if I liked it, I said it looked okayâbut it was nothing like the deeper lavender shade shown on the display. She offered to apply another gel color on top for an additional $10, but by then, I was already frustrated and declined.
She did do a good job with my cuticles, which I appreciated. However, the promised 5-minute massage never happened. She applied the paraffin wax and left abruptly to help another regular client who walked in.
A week later, the color on my thumb completely peeled offâwithout me doing anything that would cause it. I suspect this was due to the single-layer application.
Overall, I wonât be returning. The experience lacked quality, felt rushed, and was filled with...
