Newaygo County Agricultural Fair — Local services in Fremont

I have been to the Newaygo County Fair many times, mostly in support of Newaygo County Farm Bureau events such as volunteering at the Cheese Booth, which generates the funds used for our local county Farm Bureau scholarship program. This year I was at the membership table, explaining about Farm Bureau, the benefits and importance of being a member. Met lots of nice people, lots of kids got "I met a Farmer today" sticker and overall had a great time at the Fair. A big thank too you to those individuals who also signed up as new mebmers during Fair...

The Newaygo County Fair was a joke. I've never been to a fair where there were no rides or games. There should be called more of a Newaygo agricultural festival or Fair. But by calling it a fair that means there's rides and games along with other festivities. And everybody raves about the elephant ears but I thought they sucked... I am originally from the south and we have funnel cakes there that are way better than elephant ears. So my suggestion would to be a complete overhaul of the Newaygo...

This fair is well organized and managed. The building were well designed and laid out. The animal barns were open with good ventilation. The show rings were near to the appropriate animal barns. And the animals were cared for and pen areas kept clean. This is a true example of a farm country county fair. My only suggest for improvement would be to have signs at each pen showing the particular breed of animal, and any unique characteristics...
