Fridley Community Center — Local services in Fridley

Heard of them in the Fridley 49ers parade at the very end of it, their car and group of people were blocking the exit so other people who were in the parade and were trying to leave. Multiple people told them that people were trying to leave and they should pull to the side of the road but they kept saying things like “were still in the parade” and “let’s just drive really slow.” They even stopped in the middle of the road at one point to take a photo where as other floats and cars had pulled off to the side of the road to unload. There weren’t any more people watching the parade at this point in the road. It was really sad to see a local group being intentionally rude and entitled so publicly and making other people’s lives harder who also just walked the whole route...

Had to go here for a class I needed to take and when we got there the main entrance was closed so had to park around back. Okay....not a big deal. My problem is, when we finished class and went to leave it was dark out. There was not a single light on outside! I had to use my phone for light just to see. I felt extremely unsafe. It’s absolutely ridiculous to expect people to walk to their cars in complete darkness. It’s unsafe. I will never take another class here again. Turn your parking lot lights on at night before...

We go to the community center for ECFE classes and the creative play center. My 2 year old and I both love it. It gives him a chance to socialize as he is so far an only child and I'm a stay at home parent. It's affordable, a scale based on your income. We are currently participating in a book club where the parents leave the children with teachers for the second half (an hour) and have a separate meeting in another room.
