Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and accountability with this store. Their items are absolutely stunning and unique, but for the expensive price tags throughout the store, the return and refund policy needs to improve.
I bought these sandals on Saturday, April 13th after we were leaving brunch at the Essence House Cafe and they caught my eye on the sale rack. The original price on these shoes was $131 marked down 50%, and they were the last pair and just happened to be my size. I would normally NEVER pay $65 for sandals, but these were absolutely stunning and I took it as a sign since my size was the very last pair.
I wore these sandals that next Sunday at a cookoff out of town with my family. I had them for a week, and wore them for a total of an hour and a half before they literally fell apart on my feet. The heel strap detached from the sole of the sandal on both feet, and one of the soles completely came off. I ended up having to walk around the rest of the day at the cook off barefoot. Absolutely awful and disgusting.
After calling and speaking to someone at the store, I was instructed to stop by and bring the shoes to show them in person. I stopped by the store this past Saturday, April 27th and told them what had happened. I did not have the original packing, the shoes had been worn, and I didn’t have a receipt. I was very clear that I had no intentions of ever returning the shoes until they fell apart while I was wearing them and that the quality was absolutely unacceptable for $65 much less the original $131 price tag. The lady working the checkout wasn’t the least bit interested in trying to make things right. She told me that it didn’t matter that I didn’t have a receipt because all sales are final and once the product is “out of their system” there is absolutely nothing that can be done. I asked for a store credit or giftcard because it was a quality issue with a product that they sold from their store. She said no. Her recommendation was to take it to a leather store to get it repaired.
Beyond disappointed with my experience at this absolutely stunning boutique, and cannot in good faith recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase footwear or apparel for fear that it will fall apart...
Read moreI must confess I sometimes take our wonderful local boutique for granted. This past week I was reminded of just how terrific it is by my nieces who were visiting from out of state. I took them to Cobblestone's Fulshear location to shop and they went crazy over the truly incredible selection of cute clothes, shoes, and accessories! As always, Melinda was AWESOME! She had even texted me photos of shoes previous to our visit on her day off in response to my query to her personal number. After our first visit to the boutique, we returned the following day to make an exchange at closing time. I had phoned the store to alert them we were coming and Melinda and Amy couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They actually stayed open past closing time so we could try on some jeans. Extraordinary customer service and just the cutest...
Read moreI'd like to say to those reviewing this shop and saying negative things about the owner... to stop and think before you criticize a local business owner. #1. You don't know the kind of day a person is having and it is unfair to give a local shop a bad rating just because your perception of the owner on whatever day was not to your liking. Maybe it was your own energy that was bad to begin with. We are supposed to be a community and bring each other up. the word Snobish isn't good enough to give a local shop a bad rating. And this place is amazing to visit. It's my go to place when I need a gift on the go! Thank you Cobblestone Cottage for your...
