Took my granddaughter to this newly opened Fulshear Saltgrass Restaurant for her sixteenth Birthday on October 24, 2022 for her special day 7PM. Ordered our drinks. She had a Dr. Pepper, mine was a draft beer. When the wait staff guy (not my table waiter), delivered my drink, he accidentally bumped someone's large glass of wine on his tray with his hand while reaching and that flipped the whole glass of wine right into my face, all over my chest/shirt, soaked my jeans and the seat in the booth I was sitting in. The young lad was devastated and very apologetic. I was not upset over the accident and actually wanted to put the young man at ease and let him know that I knew it was just an accident and accidents happen. I told him not to fret and told him of a story of an accident I caused as a 14 year old young boy sacking groceries as my very first job. I am now 80 years old. I admire these young folks who work. I merely commenced to clean myself up on my own. I am not writing to complain about the accident that happened nor do I have any problem with the quality of the food, it was great. I am writing to complain about the incompetence of the manager on duty at the time this accident happened to me. Not against the wait staff. My complaint involves the manager (name?) of this establishment. He only showed up for a brief moment. He never introduced himself as the manager. He did not offer his name. He had nothing positive to say except I will get you a towel. He offered and did get a towel for me, but not until I had pretty much dried myself off with my table cloth napkin. I asked him twice for a fresh cloth napkin. He never did get it. No one really offered to wipe up the mess except one waiter came by and wiped off only the end of the table and the booth seat on the outermost end. There was plenty of spilt wine elsewhere to be wiped up. I did it and as I was wiping my face, the table top, my shirt, my lap and the seat I was sitting on. This incompetent manager goes and gets a towel, lays it on the table and leaves never to come back. I was all sticky and stinky of wine the entire dinner. I thought he would surely make some kind of restitution with me going thru such an event. I was infuriated but only after I got my check to see that he had made no type of restitution with me whatsoever. My check was over $72 not including the 20% tip I left my waiter. The manager never even apologized. The wait staff guy who spilt it on me did apologize. The manager could have offered a voucher to have my clothes cleaned. However, I would have not taken it. He could have deducted the cost of my steak from the check. He could have removed the cost of my one and only beer. He could have offered me a complimentary dessert. He could have offered me a coupon off my next visit meal. This manager did nothing. That is what upset me. He did not do his job in my opinion. Saltgrass needs to train this manager to be more attentive to customers getting doused with drinks. I assume he was the manager since he did not introduce himself as such but he acted different than a wait staff person. Evan was my waiter and he can verify what I say here about...
Read moreI visited the Saltgrass location the previous day. I work as a traveling sales representative across the state of Texas, and my employer designated Saltgrass and other Landry's restaurants as reimbursable units. Hence, I dine at Saltgrass. The location represents a well-oiled machine. Most waitstaff are eager to help with pickup orders. When I arrived at the restaurant, I entered the restaurant. After I entered the restaurant, a waitstaff called to me, " Welcome to Saltgrass." Many locations do not offer the friendly call. I waited 10 minutes for the server operating the to-go desk. I don't know why restaurants divide the business into to-go and dine-in. Then, a restaurant proceeds to short staff the to-go side of the business. Why? Two families waited for the server while she served alcoholic drinks at the bar. Saltgrass should designate at least two waitstaff for the pickup service. After I received my order, I felt relieved that the waitstaff showed compassion. She apologized for my wait, and obtained my order. The Fulshear Saltgrass location represents a few Saltgrass that offer a review for all of the pickup orders. She perused the foods that were situated on the bag. She ensured that all of my ordered dinner repast were present inside the bag. I thanked her for the awesome service. I reciprocated with a generous tip for her. Ironically, the Saltgrass location is akin to other Saltgrass locations: the boss doesn't trust servers. I watched my server call for the manager. Only managers are allowed to ring orders that contain a gift card. ( Five years ago, Saltgrass corporate caught a waiter faking gift card purchases and returning items to customer's gift card.) I am saddened that trust does not exist in our society. Oh well, I received my food. I ordered a plate of salad. My partner ordered Blackened Redfish. I feel sated for my salad. My partner didn't reciprocate the feeling. On Saltgrass's website, the blackened Redfish shows a whole Redfish. When she received her plate, she obtained a half Redfish. What gives? Since we feel satiated, we didn't bother making a complaint with...

The rich wood interiors, paired with charming Western accents, create a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphereâperfect for both casual meals and special occasions.
Now, onto the star of the show: the steaks. Saltgrass doesnât just serve steak, they master it. I ordered the Ribeye, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly grilled with a delicious char that intensified the flavor, the steak was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was a savory delight, showcasing the kitchenâs expertise in handling high-quality cuts of meat. They truly know how to highlight the natural flavors of the steak with just the right touch of seasoning and expert grilling.
The sides were just as impressive. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were rich and creamy, with a smooth, buttery finish, while the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese was the epitome of comfort foodâoozing with cheesy goodness and topped with a satisfyingly crisp crust. And letâs not forget the Shiner Bock Beer Bread served at the beginning of the mealâwarm, soft, and slightly sweet, itâs the perfect way to kick off a hearty dining experience.
