My family of 5 visited for the first time today for breakfast and we were not impressed. The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. The details are as follows:
Were were seated at dirty table and had to ask for it to be cleaned. It was very obvious it was dirty. The waitress took our drink order, which included 4 coffees. She brought no spoons, no sugar/sweetener and again, we had to ask. There was a ceiling fan right above our table on at high speed, which we asked to please turn off and we were told it was not possible. At this point, I was already forming a negative opinion of this establishment, but I let it go.
The food was delivered quickly to our table and was well prepared. The execution, taste, appearance and portions were all good. It is a shame that the bad service took so much away from our experience.
We all had to constantly ask for coffee refills. We asked for a water for everyone and received 4 glasses of water for a table of 5. Once our food was brought out, the waitress never once visited our table. We had to find our own salt and pepper shakers and more sweetener packets for our coffee. Towards the end of our meal, a different waitress came by and asked if we were ready for the check. We were still finishing our food, so I thought this was strange, but I said yes, just to get out of there.
I left the server a tip commensurate with the service we received, about 10%.
This place is by no means inexpensive and with so many breakfast choices around the Fulshear/Katy area, this place did not meet my standard of value enough to...
Read moreFolks, here’s my tremendous over-easy, sausage-scented, 5-star Google review for the Essence House Café in Fulshear, Texas, right on FM359 near FM1093—best breakfast spot, a true Texas gem, believe me! My wife, our buddy, and I rolled in for breakfast, and let me tell you, this place is busier than an ant hill at a picnic, packed with hungry people craving real food! Our friend, already there like a scout in the wilderness, tipped us off about this diner, and it’s a revelation. I got the Essence Deluxe—two eggs over medium, two sausage slices, potatoes, two walnut pancakes, and coffee so good it’s like a hug you didn’t know you needed. My wife and our pal both went for the Breakfast Meat Trio—three eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, and toast, with iced tea to wash it down. The portions? extremely generous, like Santa’s cookie stash! Everything was delicious, a flavor explosion that could make a mime scream. Essence House Café? It’s a culinary beacon in Fulshear, serving up breakfasts that make your diet pack its bags. Five stars, folks—get in there, it’s...

My wife and I finally tried E+🏠for breakfast and we will be back! Left satisfied with full tummies and empty plates. I want to come back for the Steak Sandwich. When u arrive, grab a menu and an empty table, and order at the register. Take your number and before you know it your food will arrive. The staff must crash hard after they close at 3pm, because the E+🏠 was moving! Wifey had the Pecan Belgian. I had the Deluxe. O man, the sausage is the way to go. OJ they admitted was not fresh squeezed like the menu said, so I opted for coffee. Wait staff were all patient and cheerful.
