Agricola Shopping Center — Local services in Gadsden

It's an aging strip mall that has been largely abandoned. When the city put public housing behind it in an an already challenged neighborhood, it was a nail in the coffin of this spot. A police annex building, a church, a small radio station, and a smattering of struggling businesses fill only about half the lots - the others are empty shells of the failed businesses that died there. A Marvin's hardware store is all that's keeping the lights on at this point.

It's a shame, because this could be a real center of commerce for the area if it was managed properly. With all the poverty around it though, it's unlikely that anyone will see value until the city cleans up the...

Being mostly of lifelong resident here in Gadsden I've seen a lot go on with this agricola shopping center back when I was a child this was one busy little place one of the best places in Gadsden to shop it's changed a lot since then as has many of the other strip shopping centers it's just kind of gone away they're still stores in here but not a lot of traffic I do enjoy the Save-A-Lot store and on the opposite end of the shopping center the Marvin store is real nice other than that the shopping centers just about dead so I have a tough time getting it much of a score since there's...

There are places I don't feel safe being by myself. Really wish a store would open up in the old Dirt Cheap building. I wish there was more cops patrolling in the area.
