Signed up for a month to month, cancel any time membership when this place first opened. Began trying to cancel the membership shortly after the gym reopened from covid. I have "canceled" the membership in person, over the phone, in writing, and by email. They continued to debit my credit card every month. I reached out to the company that handles the bank drafts for them, and was pretty much told to bad, they were going to keep hitting my account until / unless workout anytime told them to stop. So I reached out to my credit union, and upon their advice had my debit card canceled and reissued. Today I received a letter from a collection agency attempting to collect $108. For a $14.99 a month no contract membership that I have canceled repeatedly over the last 8 moths. Do not do business with these people. Do not give them access to your bank account / debit card / whatever. They are not to be trusted. * post script... Regarding the owners response, my impression is that you are cooperate, not the owner of the particular franchise that I have an issue with? So in brief, I had no problem with the gym itself. I discontinued the membership because I was uncomfortable using the facilities during the covid pandemic (that seems to be ongoing). That said, a month to month cancel any time membership should be just that. I shouldn't have to try to cancel 8 - 9 times, them cancel the debit card, and end up with a collection that is 7X the monthly rate. I understand bad reviews can effect your overall business, not just this particular franchise. If you can compel these franchise owners to cease and desist, I will be happy to modify my review (here and other places) to reflect that. Otherwise I am going to have to take...

Ive made a review about this gym before, and it was higher, the owner even responded to my review and alot of the issues were addressed, but have since went back to it was before. Sundays are the worst days to go, from not having any rags to wipe equipment down, to having no toilet paper in the mens room, i had to ask a girl to get me some toilet paper from the girls room so i could even use the bathroom. The mens urinal has been down for over 2 MONTHS, which is ridiculous. And id hate to pay the extra for the tanning bed and massage room because the massage machine has been down for over 2 months aswell. The assisted pull up machine is broken, and the front doors do not lock after hours when an employee isnt there. Its been like that for close to a year, the sharpie on the sign telling you to use the other door is faded. Just sucks not feeling safe in the gym for the late shifters. Literally last night 10-26-25 there was a dude on cocaine, he told me he was in there working out. He was trying to argue with people and just didnt need to be there, he also had no membership cause he could just walk in for free, i mean whose to stop him. Many random people come and work out without a membership now, which is fine, even tho they dont have a membership, but a bunch have been on drugs and are unstable in the gym. Its just not safe at all. There have been people geeked out on drugs passed out in the corner of the gym. If they could fix the doors itd be better all the way around. Also the uncleanness, it looks like nothing ever gets wiped down. The waterfountain is super nasty. There has been a green toothpick next to the squat rack for the past 2.5 months, no one ever cleans it. If it wasn't for the 24/7 id 100 percent...

Thank you for listening to my concerns. I don’t like being negative but I had to speak out because I did not want to leave this gym, I just wanted it to be safe, clean and welcoming. This has been my gym since it opened and I feel comfortable here and did not want to have to cancel and go elsewhere. Thank you so much for listening and for making the needed changes.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW A FEW MONTHS AGO since it won’t let me post a new review.

The gym has not been the same for the last month or so. The new owners hired another manager, big mistake. He isn’t friendly, stays hidden, we never have clean towels, the floors are dirty, bathrooms are filthy and several members have complained. The room with the massage bed smelled like a rotten egg the other day so of course we turned around and left. We need some changes or members will be leaving to join elsewhere.

I love Workout Anytime Gaffney. I joined when it first opened in 2018. I was so disappointed at the appearance of the equipment when I returned in March 2024 after being away for a few years due to health issues. I am so excited to see that the new owners are making changes and repairing the equipment. Brian is a great manager and has been very helpful, nice and considerate ever since day one along with his staff. This is my “home” gym and where I feel most comfortable working out.
