I bought tickets for a comedy show at Ilani. It was around $240. Considering I purchased it through ETC as a 3rd party, I thought everything was set as I received a confirmation number and email. However, I wasn't informed that my ticket was digital only. When I arrived at the show, I wasn't able to access my ticket, and there wasn't any indication, note of it was available at will call. The link to access my ticket directed me to download ticket master. Which, I did. But, there wasn't any record of it in the app. At this point I was stressed and frustrated as I couldn't gain access to my ticket, thus, I couldn't enter the show. I tried (numerous times) to contact their customer support: I immediately got a "we cannot be reached at these hours." I tried to contact them through virtual chat: same thing. I almost broke down in tears as I tried EVERY avenue available to gain access to my ticket, which I had paid for in full and had records of the purchase. Thankfully, the staff at Ilani saw how much stress I was under and THA FULLY I did have a confirmation code with a seat show. So, they allowed me to enter right as the show started. Ilani was great...however, Event Ticket Center gave me the absolute worst customer experience I've ever had. Enough that I'm writing this review to inform anyone reading double and triple check your purchase and make sure you have your ticket available (even if it's digital print it off or make sure it's available without having to access the app or internet. (Theor website kept saying my connection was "unsafe," even though I was connected to the Iliani wifi, and it was the same thing when I tried to use data. If anyone at Event Ticket Center is resding this, please take note: Your company needs to do better and make sure this doesn't happen with...
Read moreI thought I was buying 2 tickets to a comedy show at a venue I had never been to about an hour from my home. The price was outrageous, but I'm old and I think the prices of a lot of things are outrageous. When we arrived we went to the usher to scan in our tickets, and were told that the tickets were invalid. First we were directed to the house manager, and then to the box office. At the box office the first words out of the mouth of the person at the counter was "you didn't buy these tickets from us." Fortunately, someone behind me in line had 2 extra tickets they weren't able to use. I bought them, and went into the show expecting to be able to iron it out with the Event Tickets Center after we'd seen the performance. When I contacted their customer service address, orderreview@mytickettracker.com, they demanded the following from me before considering my claim for refund: "scan report from the venue;" "letter/email from the venue/box office explaining what occurred at the event. This must include event, date, and seating locations;" "picture of invalid scan at the venue gate;" "proof new tickets were purchased along with the receipt and explanation of why original seats were not valid, including the proof from the venue". Never having worked in a box office, it never occurred to me that such things might exist until I received their helpful email. To my eye, it looks like their demands to consider the claim where 100% calculated to avoid ever having to pay a single claim. I've pretty much given up any hope of ever getting my money back, but I'm retired and have time on my hands, and I fully expect to devote the rest of my life to making their business at least a little less profitable. I gave them one star because no stars was...
Read moreDO NOT EVER BUY TICKETS FROM EVENT TICKETS CENTER ... Read all the horrible, sad reviews on BBB.org before you do ... 1.1/5! When BBB reached out regarding a pattern of complaints it received, Event Tickets Center boasted about its 4.5/5 rating on Trust Pilot, but don't be fooled. Trust Pilot has their file flagged with an alert stating that Event Tickets Center uses unsupported methods for collecting reviews. Go figure. They are unscrupulous and deceptive.Worst price gouging situation I've ever experienced. After realizing that their claim of "limited tickets" was completely false - plenty of face value tickets were (and still are) available directly from the venue for a third of the cost they charged - I tried to cancel my order within 10 minutes of placing it after realizing face value tickets were still available directly from the venue and they refused. "Final sale." In addition to charging more than double for an event that isn't sold out and has plenty of tickets available, they charge nearly 50% of the ticket cost in fees ($40 per ticket for $110 ticket selling for $54 directly) PLUS a $10 delivery fee...for tickets they said they would email? What is the delivery fee for? I've filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office for price gouging and pray they intervene so Event Tickets Center stops preying on unsuspecting innocent people who can't afford their outrageous prices and fall for their false claims about ticket availability. Their CEO Adam Young says in a 2022 Forbes article that their whole business model is based on the "irrationality" of the market and fees ... He's basically calling us stupid. Makes over $100 million a year ripping people off. Date of experience:...
