The ratings look low, but I really liked this place. We went later in the evening, after a UF baseball game, and the place was mostly empty, with closing time approaching. There was a live musical act and he was pretty good. Posters on the wall show him to be a regular performer there and I enjoyed his performance. The server was excellent - very friendly and naturally easy going, but he kept on top of our needs. There is barely seating and table seating - the bar occupied by seemingly regular customers. The vibe was a little bit dive-bar style, but a comfortable and friendly place. The beer cheese was okay - not the best I've ever had. It wasn't incorporated well, rather than being creamy and smooth, but tasty enough. The accompanying pretzel sticks were divine. My hubs had a dozen wings - the jerk ones were amazing (I did snitch a nibble). Parking was very easy, as was access in and around the place. Pricing was good. This was a good choice on the occasion, and we'll surely go back.

Breakfast/Brunch: Their version of an eggs Benedict!! So so so delicious!! Niki has been our server twice and she is great! We have gone a couple times for breakfast with our two young daughters. Niki was friendly with the girls and quick with everything we needed. Of course it helps that the food is tasty and not pricey! Bar: We've also been a few times late afternoon-late night for beers and either dinner or appetizers. The bartenders are knowledgeable and can typically give you a pretty good recommendation or at least give you a couple to try before ordering. They also have screens that rotate information on all the beers they currently have on tap. Everything we've ordered, from wings to cuban sandwiches to tacos, we have loved! Every time we've been I see the owners working right along side the staff and making sure everyone is happy.

The beers most is almost always poured right, some times it's a little low but the fact that the kitchen closes when even it feels like makes it a waste of a trip far too often. They always says something about it being slow despite the fact that it's the busiest I have ever seen it. Also that's just not how business works. You don't know when money is walking in the door, what good does it do ya if people spend there money some place else? Tbh I pretty sure the package store next door is the only thing keeping this place a float. But yeah if it's like after 7pm they close the kitchen the last 10times I have made the trip. I guess if your a booze hound it's fine but if you need more than frier fair keep on rolling.

DO NOT GO ON YOUR LUNCH!!!

i never leave a review like this. as myself, works with the public and we all have off days. however if i mess up and forget to do something i own up to it. this whole thing could have ended a lot different if she would have just said omg im so sorry i forgot to place the order. or whatever happened.

Today myself and 2 coworks walked over to have lunch. they are new employees and have never been. when we walked i there was only 3 tables taken. we sat down at 12:06p the server came and got our drinks when she brought them they asked for a straw and Amber told them they did have straws, the one girl stated WOW what do you guys do for to go orders? amber just shrugged her shoulders. one of the girls ordered a App. great no problem. when the server Amber brought her app we placed our order it was 1217p we sat and talked it was getting later and later more people came in, not once after we ordered did Amber ask how things were going, if we needed anything or check our drinks. about 1253 i started trying to wave down our server to get the checks. in the meantime the people who sat behind our table had came in about 1240 (who had the male server) had already ordered, and was getting their food. (STILL WAITING FOR OUR FOOD) she brought our checks and left the table we waited for her to come back to pick up our checks she was walking all over the restaurant not even giving us the time . finally one of the girls got up and asked the young man to cash us out.she then finally we got our food as he was doing so. one of the girls asked her if its always like this and it takes so long to get the food, she just looked at her and didn't give a response. at this time i told the girls to go back to work as it was 1:04p and we were late.

someone we know knew the owner and she called to tell her what had happened. Ms Betty was very nice and apologetic about what had happened. when asked about it Amber turned it around and stated we were rude to her about them not having straws and that they had not had them in 2 years ( as new customers how are we to know that?) and then waited 30mins to order after we ate our app.

Ms Betty called to tell our friend her side of the story and then stated that we also didn't tip Amber... did we NO (was it rude, yeah probably) but for what? you didn't check on us, you didn't come to the table and tell us a update about our order you ignored us when we tried to...

Tried out the "bottle shop" next door first. They DO have a nice selection of craft brews, but unfortunately, folks, keep in mind that here in Florida, your choices are limited by whatever they can get from their distributors. Good part about that? You get alot of locally brewed beer, but the bad part is you get what you get when it comes to out of state brews. So while it was nice, they're nowhere as well stocked as Total Wine & More.

The restaurant is confusing at first because seating is limited and people tend to hang out here after they're even done eating. You don't get seated but a hostess or anyone, for that matter. You seat yourself, so we were just lucky several tables actually WERE leaving, so our standing time was relatively short.

Their menu is fun pub food and very tasty. We tried the Mac n Cheese bites as an appetizer shared between 4 people. No, there wasn't really enough to share for all of us, but I only ate one. They were very crispy and yummy!

For dinner 3 of us ordered burgers, but one in our party had the St. Augustine shrimp with coleslaw and fries. One person has the Mac n Cheese Burger, but the other two of us ordered the same thing, the Killer Cowboy Burger.

This burger was fantastic!! Oh, and they have the BEST fresh fries. Myself personally, I don't care for potatoes in general. Fries, baked OR mashed, I usually avoid them or just leave them on my plate. Theirs? Oh my gosh, they were fabulous.

The Mac N Cheese Burger (per the person in my party who ordered and ate it) looked great but really had no flavor at all. He was terribly disappointed with it but also thought the fries were great.

The St. Augustine shrimp were good (she really liked the 'pink sauce') and HER fries were great, but she did not like the coleslaw and I tasted it and did not like it either. Way way too sweet for my taste.

Not a bad place, the entertainment was eclectic, very enjoyable, not too loud. The food was fresh and for the most part, very tasty and not too expensive. Great service and the staff seemed very nice. I was pleasantly surprised. We WILL go back! I have to try the Shepherd's Pie!!!! Oh, and the British fish n chips! And so many other things that I couldn't decide about whether to order...

Came here with our granddaughter on a Saturday night. All of 4 customers in total in the whole place. We ordered from the kids menu first. Since we wanted both the Chicken and Mac n Cheese we asked if we could order a side order of the mac n cheese. The waiter said he needed mgmt approval for this but came back and said he could do it for cost of $4. Keep in mind mac n cheese is a main dish on the menu for adults and children... When the food came I was shocked by what was brought to us bcuz it was literally cheap boxed mac n cheese from the grocery store in a very small container. Not what they actually serve the customers on the menu. When I questioned why we didn't get what was on the menu they said bcuz the good mac n cheese is premade with the chicken. Really. They charge $4 for a small portion of something that is cheap and didn't even taste good??? No flavor at all. We could have stayed home for this. Instead what we got was over cooked chicken plain box M&C with a fruit cup for the baby. When I say fruit cup I thought it was going to be fresh fruit bowl/ cup but even that was literally a fruit cup that you get at the grocery store in a plastic cup (the kind that's sold 6 in a pack)with the plastic seal over it. Wow really! Unreal!!!! The food that the adults ordered was sad as well. The fries were so greasy to even touch let alone eat and the fish tasted at if it had been cooked in three day old grease! I was so upset by the whole baby's meal and fish and fries situation that I sent my food back untouched. But of course I was charged for that too. I don't care about the money. Given the crowd that WASN'T there they need it more than I do.

$53 FOR A MEAL THAT WAS BY FAR THE CHEAPEST I'VE HAD IN MANY YEARS. I'M REFERRING TO THE QUALITY NOT THE COST. NEEDLESS TO SAY I...
