Go anywhere but here! Guilford Immediate Care should get ZERO stars! I had by far the worst experience so far in the medical community in Gainesville. Went in for a wrist injury from a fall where I landed on my wrist and hit my head. When my blood pressure was taken it was insanely high. The tech (who was pleasant) said she thought it was because I was in pain and she would take it manually once we got in a room. Get to the room and the blood pressure cuff isn't working, she gets a third blood pressure reader and the batteries are dead! I hear her talking to the doctor who says "Don't get hung up on blood pressures!" My blood pressure was never taken again the entire visit. Dr. Seabolt sees me for a maximum of 2 minutes (and that may be an exaggeration) tells me he doesn't think my wrist is broken from what he sees and he recommends a wrist splint. He then says they ran out of splints and I could go to any pharmacy and pick one up. All this is said to me from the door that he held half open ready to go to the next patient. Time spent at Guilford nearly 2 hours, time with doctor (who couldn't have been less interested) 2 minutes. Pain level to wrist as I'm writing this - 8, not to mention the throbbing headache from hitting my head that Dr Seabolt NEVER even asked about - 9! Again, I'm not sure what happened to GIC. This used to be the only place I would go to for urgent care. Now I would advise everyone to go anywhere but here!! Too bad this place also has fallen from what was once a great medical institution run by Dr Hadad to another useless medical office run by uncaring individuals. STAY AWAY!! I went out of network and had to change, shut down 4 of my meds for a 30 day bridge. Affected my life in a indescribable way FOR NO REASON. Front office apologized for the cutoff in medication, Good riddens, my own pharmacy (Kroger) couldn’t fulfill my authorized prescriptions as no one, maily her, did not respond to there request until I called. I wish I could give no stars. Dangerous place. Totally misdiagnosed my ninety year old mother. We wound up in the emergency where the doctor was appalled at the diagnosis and treatment they prescribed at guilford. Nice enough staff, but totally clueless. I will never set foot in there again.
