I called the company to see how much it would be to have my septic tank marked. I was told over the phone $125, but I couldn't go ahead and schedule because wanted to make sure someone was going to be here- bad experience with other companies. I called back a couple weeks later, and again was told $125, I repeated $125 back to the person, and was told yes. I went ahead and scheduled the marking. When the person showed up they were towing a skid steer, but I thought it was maybe used on a previous job.
The technician walked up and asked me where I thought the septic tank was. He went back to the truck to get the pole to find the area- proceeded to find all the edges around the tank. Then he started walking back to the truck and looked to be unloading the skid steer. I walked up to other technician to make sure we were just marking the area. The first started driving the skid steer into my lawn, and was about to start digging (we were not interested in that). I was able to stop him and explain AGAIN we were just marking the septic tank, main septic line, and the fields. He drove the skid steer back onto the truck and came back down. He started pointing saying the tank is "here" and the lines are "here". I asked if he was going to mark them in a more permanent way- he of course didn't have any way to mark them.
Luckily, we had some spray paint to actually mark the lines. He proceeded to "guess" where the edges of the tank were as well as the lines and field. He told us 2 completely different locations for the main line- 1 of which he marked. He repeatedly said "these are to the best of his ability" - wouldn't you think they could be accurate? The guy was completely disinterested in doing his job, and was not easily understood. He spent about 10 minutes "guessing" where the line and field were and then went up to his truck. Then he said it was $150.
I feel this was way overcharged for a worker who didn't want to do his job, and was very unprepared.

Read moreAugust 2024 Update: My drain field is now replaced. Patriot Pumpers followed through on the job. Their contractor, Donnie's Dirtwork, came out and we discussed where the new drain field would be and agreed to a date. They showed up on the day scheduled, did the work and everything was back to working perfectly withing 2 days. They worked around my travel schedule and got it done. I am pleased with the results. I would 100% hire them again for the job. It's not easy finding someone you can trust when there are so many shady companies out there. Patriot & Donnie's Dirtwork were professional and got the job done on time and on budget. April 2024 Update: Levi and Brian were out to clean my tank today Excellent job again, left it looking like it did before. Unfortunately, it looks like my 27 yr old drain field is failing. We got a reasonable estimate today. The team is great and I look forward to working them on the replacement. 2022 Original: Septic tank clean & maintain. Dustin and Levi arrived on time and were very professional. They hand dug my septic tank so they did not disturb my patio. They checked and said it looked good. Cleaned the solids and covered it back up. Left it looking like they were never here. Great guys and they have my business from here on out. Even provided a quote for...
Read moreFive stars isn’t enough! My husband and I recently had a septic tank issue and working with Samuel and his team at Patriot Pumpers was an incredible experience from start to finish.
We’re first-time homeowners and only a few months into owning our house when our septic tank alarm went off late on a Friday evening. With no experience in this kind of thing, we were stressed and unsure what to do. Samuel came out on a Sunday—something we were so grateful for—and initially suspected the pump might be broken based on the what was showing. He ordered the parts and gave us a very fair quote.
The next day, his team returned and, after diving deeper into the tank, discovered that the pump itself was actually still in great shape. The real issue was poorly installed wiring, floats, and the alarm trigger from the original setup. They fixed everything quickly and professionally, leaving us in a better place than we started. And because we didn’t end up needing the new pump, our bill was literally half the cost we expected! And they took the time to explain everything - which I really appreciated!
Their honesty, integrity, and kindness stood out immediately. It’s so refreshing to work with a company that genuinely cares about doing the right thing. We’re customers for life and will recommend them to...
