Worst place and worst Mexican restaurant in Chatsworth/Eaton. I called in a to go order and after verification of the order I went inside to pick it up. The so-called manager working almost refused to let me check my food. So after getting home we find we’re missing a plate of food and other stuff after being told it was in the bag. Went back up to get my food and the same manager decided to tell me they didn’t serve Carna Asada tacos here or the meal. Really genius I have 5 from here I just ordered. Very rude lol and confrontational. And after paying for my food once before I was told I had to pay again for the plate which I already paid for 5 min earlier. Great business model. Lie and steal from customers and think they won’t notice. Will never eat here again and will make sure this place is not recommended to anyone I know wanting really good Mexican. El puebleto for good...
Read moreMy husband and I went to this restaurant to eat for the first time tonight. Service was so slow! My husband’s drink sat empty as did our chips and salsa, for about 10 minutes and our food took forever to come out. For dinner my husband ordered the Texas fajita nachos. Some of the chicken in his order was raw. We brought this to the attention of our server and she said she would notify someone, which she did not do; she simply took our plates and brought our check and said nothing about the issue. We then brought this to the manager’s attention and his response was “oh, I’m sorry.”
Nobody apologized (the manager’s nonchalant reply does NOT count) or offered to comp the meal. We will NOT be returning to this restaurant and we will make sure to share our opinion of this less than mediocre restaurant with all of our family...

New update ! First time back in two years. Fast seating , fast service , JUAN was my server and his friendly and helpful suggestions made dinner here a treat. Juan made several suggestions which were things i hadn't seen on the menue and I was pleasantly rewarded with a heck of a dinner . Cost was just under 20.00 and I can now once again heartily recommend El Maguey. Juan surely has made a difference in my experience here. Management definitely needs to give this man a raise because he is a light unto their dining room. The food tasted fresher , had a little kick to it , not overly spicy, but much more flavorful than I remember. MY order came out very quickly and hot . Ample portions...
