Taqueria Durango — Restaurant in Gainesville

I am very surprised to see the 3.4 rating at this place. I think it’s clear they’ve improved. Do not let that discourage you from coming and trying this place out. You do get charged an additional amount for using a card. No tip was added to my check but I assume it’s for large parties.

You are promptly greeted once you come in! You get seated and get free salsa (to die for, I need that recipe) and chips while you wait for your food. It was so good that when I remembered to take a picture we had demolished it. The place was very clean and you are asked multiple times how you are doing. Excellent customer service. Definitely worth the trip. Food comes out fresh and hot!

For picky eaters like myself, they will accommodate for what you ask for. In my case, I did not want the beans and rice that came with the fajitas and gave me a huge portion of fries. The burger pictured should be bigger but a child ordered it and had a lot of things taken out from what it originally comes with. Excellent...

Paid $47 for a so called "burrito" and 4 tacos...something isn't right, I feel like I was definitely overcharged, I didn't even see tip option when I went to go pay either, I think server added his own tip. Menu said I would get rice and beans with burrito I ordered for myself, I just got a burrito but not even some rice or beans on the inside. I'm pretty sure they charged me the full menu price for it too. Lettuce was all brown and out of a salad pack cuz there was carrot and cabbage pieces in it and just had sour cream...it was steak, brown salad mix, yellow unripe tomato slices and sour cream... that was it, idk what kind of burrito that was but I picked out all the brown lettuce and tomato it had and ate just meat and cream mostly cuz I was starving. I didn't get an itemized print out either so I can't even see what they charged me individually. Do not recommend and I will never...

I don't think they overcharged me like some of the other people mentioned but the food was just mediocre and if you like really really hot spicy things this is a place for you. The salsa that they provide on the table are super spicy and each one is hotter than the other.The service was not that good and the food was slow to get there but then again I was the only person in the restaurant at the time. I would like to see...
