This end of the island is quiet, very little traffic. There are several fishing spots. I havent had any luck at those spots but maybe it's just my inexperience. It's not the ideal spot for setting up chairs and umbrella but it is a calm area. It's worth at least driving to it. You have a view of the shipping channel, we watched the 2 carnival cruisers sail out of port. Nice sunset.

The rocky shore before you get to the beach is great for fishing. Although please be advised that they do not allow SWIMMING OR WADING in the water, sometimes the waves get pretty strong out there and if you are not careful someone could get hurt. Even though it seems full at times people are always coming and going so if you are patient enough you will get a great spot. But beware as soon as the sun start to set, the mosquitos are BAD out here! Not enough replent can keep those suckers away ! My family and I like to head out there early and start to back...

Small simple park, great maintenance on the trails and offers wetland views. Many butterflies and birds can be seen. The signage has interpretation boards to help identify the species. Benches are available to sit and watch. Simple and really nice break where there shouldn't be too...
