Dollar General — Local services in Garden City

I stopped in here to grab a tape measure. No greeting when I walked in. The cashier literally rolled her eyes at me. When I went to the checkout where she was playing on her phone she just glared at me and said go to 1. I did, she rang up my item and them stood there with her arms crossed. I put my chip card in and then the card unit told me to slide the card. I did and the cashier actually yelled at me to put it in the slot . I ignored her because I knew it was going to tell me to do just that. She then yelled "Did you hear me?" I had enough and told her that I did but I was ignoring her because she is rude. She said that she was just trying to tell me what to do with the card . Her tone was hateful. I told her that the card unit lags behind her register and perhaps she should use that information in the future. She smirked at me and laid me receipt on my bag and rolled her eyes again . This is the worst customer service I have ever recieved at a Dollar General. The ones I have visited in the past always greet me and treat me with kindness. This is just unacceptable. I hope she is given customer service training. Also, the receipt was not printed clearly enough for me to do their survey so the company would know what poor service is...

The dollar general has gotten far better the last 2 times we visited (we come here maybe once a week). We've been coming here since March and they were ALWAYS understocked, carts everywhere, merchandise placed randomly, staff was ALWAYS missing and there were 10 or more people waiting to be served.

Its been better recently. they actually have staff in the morning who don't go to pizza hut and talk to their friends. They aren't closed til 12 in the morning. They are well stocked now and aisles aren't cluttered with random stuff but the major thing is that they FINALLY have staff. It was such a massive issue because we only saw one woman working there every single time we went. Now we see multiple staff that are there who are either stacking, cashiering or organizing product.

Only reason I haven't given it a 4 or 5 is because of past experiences. Massive...

This store located on Hwy 21 in Garden City, GA is the absolute worst Dollar General I have ever been inside. The store is filthy! The aisles are impassable for the abandoned boxes left behind. The back of the store I can’t push my buggy down to turn up the next aisles. Why? At the end of every aisles you find a storeroom cart stacked with boxes of items waiting to be put on shelves. Good luck finding any of the specials advertised. You won’t find them because they’re still on the storeroom cart! The afternoon I pulled into the parking area and heard an employee and the manager yelling at the top of their lungs while blocking the entryway of the store I decided that was my last time there.
