Notice any positive reviews are from many years ago! Had my wedding cake made here, had a bad experience all around.
1.Customer service: Terrible communication, embarrassingly disorganized staff. Received back to back calls/texts from different members of staff to communicate details previously communicated—but when I needed information I wouldn’t hear back for weeks. Each appointment had to be rescheduled a handful of times before they could actually keep it. 2.Contract and liability: Taking advantage of a small town with no options—lengthy contract excluding them from any sort of liability no matter what happens. No refunds are to be given under any circumstances and no matter what they deliver to you. Sketchy owner. 3.Pricing: High prices, again taking advantage of the fact people don’t have other options. They charged for every single thing you could possibly imagine and even charged me for ingredients they didn’t have enough of. After everything it was nearly $2k for a basic wedding cake.
Okay let’s get to the parts;
4.Tasting and quality: Like pulling teeth to get them to make the custom flavors I requested, lady almost refused and wouldn’t let up on us “just picking a standard flavor”—despite advertising the fact they make custom flavors. She botched both the samples, intentionally or unintentionally I don’t know. They tasted rancid and were a dry cornbread-like texture. Essentially coercion to pick a standard flavor. The standard samples were not good at all. The least bad flavor was “crème brûlée”—which has no vague resemblance of whatsoever. The sample contained a caramel and candied pecan filling, the only palatable part. I SPECIFICALLY confirmed multiple times to make sure the actual cake would contain the caramel pecan filling. I was ASSURED multiple times it would—the wedding cake had no caramel and no pecans. It was filled with a sweetened Crisco “buttercream”. Over 200 people and the cake was so unpalatable 85% of it ended up in the trash. Decoration: You have to purchase any decorations not made of the Crisco frosting on your own and take it. I had one inspiration picture. It was not complicated by any mean. I paid around $100 extra dollars for them to buy and apply rose gold leaf flakes. I had no gold flakes on my wedding cake. Instead they mixed reddish glitter into frosting and finger painted it on. It looked like the inside of a public bathroom. The Crisco “buttercream” was poorly applied and had streaks and finger dents all around. They tried to cover it up with a random poorly applied ribbon. I will post some pictures.
I do not recommend this place to anyone, and when anyone asks I tell them about the poor experience all around and not to waste their money. Since then I’ve heard from a handful of other people that they had...
   Read moreI'm from out of town. I ordered a white sheet cake in white frosting with blue piping with specific wording for a very important occasion. I understood it would just have the white frosting with blue piping and the wording only. I was Not ever told what the refund policy was in case there was any problem. When I picked up the cake..it was blue all way around, no color contrast as I ordered. The special wording was not even there, in fact the special name was incorrectly spelled as well. When guests ate the cake, it wasn't even white, texture was coarse, heavy like cornbread and tasted like baking soda or salt. I contacted owner who had taken the order in the first place and she couldn't find the original order to verify anything. THEN I was told she doesn't give refunds. They give back the amount in product. I don't live there, I spent almost 100.00 on this cake. I expected it to taste exceptionally great. This wasn't even edible. Why would I be able to use more product when I don't Iive there? The owner then told me she'd check to see if there was anything else she could do for a refund I waited several weeks with no communication. I made contact after not hearing back, only to be told again that she'd check to see the finance person. She'd been busy. Not in any communication before this had she declared there were no exceptions. She told me she'd check with finance to see what else they could do. Today I made contact and owner was back to only refund was credit for product no exceptions only this time credit was half what I paid. Honesty, integrity, and standing by your product, making things right goes far to being remembered as a good business. She wasn't honest, made me feel there was a chance to resolve things to placate me, when she had no intention of making it right. Alot of people in Garden City tasted that awful cake. I'm sorry she chose not to resolve it. The owner sends me a card to purchase her in house products that has an expiration date of 2 months knowing full well I live out of state. She's a very dishonest person. Don't order a white cake with writing, they...
   Read moreWe went in at about 12:30 pm, a few weeks ago. Only 2 sugar cookies to pick from. The Frosting still warm and got sticky, smeared all inside the package. My kids still ate them, but the same as they would any cookie. There was also 2 different kinds of cookie sandwiches basically. They were very good, but kind of small. I guess I expected more than 4 items. Maybe just a late, off day. Will give it a try again, maybe. I do...
