Ricky Rockets Fuel Center — Local services in Garland

This is a GREAT stop! The store is well stocked, facilities are very clean and inviting. The hot food is delicious and the lady working in the deli was very friendly and sweet. Although I prefer “free” parking, I understand the city restricts the business owner as to how many Semi trucks the city will allow to park in their lot. While I was parked, I saw the Garland Compliance Department driving through the truck parking area taking pictures of trucks parked outside of the marked parking spots. I went inside to notify the owner (who was very nice and friendly) said they are fined quite often but, he and his brother were “Drivers” in the past and feel sorry for us drivers who have to comply with the HOS regulations. He said he would rather pay the fine than to make a driver leave and be in violation! While talking with him, he stated he would prefer not to charge for parking but, with the limited spaces, charging for parking helps drivers and keeps many of the available spaces available available to those that really need them! This makes sense to me and I gladly paid knowing the “fees” are being saved for them to expand adding showers and laundry!

My overall experience here has been very nice! From the convenience of location, the really friendly staff, the great store options and good hot food, I will add this place to my must stop list any time I roll through Dallas!

So many reviews and I feel not enough was said about food options (especially for truck drivers who can't park just anywhere)..1st, the Dunkin Donuts is not a walk in sit down place. You can walk up to a window and order or pick up from app (and it's outside of RR's on the corner) Inside Ricky Rockets: there's a little grill/pre-made food sitting in warmer area (open from 4a-7p per Manager)..they have some breakfast sandwiches/burritos For lunch/dinner items: pizza, either pre-made sitting in warmer or possibly get fresh, burgers- they will pre make and sit in warmer, but you can get items added to your burger (Lettuce, tomato etc). Fries freshly made. They also have wings. They were really good, bone in, tasty wings. They have pre made salads, which all looked very fresh and packed full. Deli coolers have a good variety of fruit, potato salad, Macaroni salad items. So many previous reviews about towing semi trucks. We came in around 3p and there were 3 open spots (Monday) Did not see anyone get towed..plenty were also parked along side street and odd places, side of fuel island etc. And were there several hours and saw no issues. We did ask the manager and he said as long as you are in your truck or their facility you are ok. Or just ask them to be sure. Truck parking spots are at a slight angle. So you are best to enter from blind side, otherwise you could struggle like I witnessed several drivers do. 😉 Not a bad place for truck drivers who need the basics. Oh and lots of grass and sidewalks for...

This place is awful. We have been in there 5 times and had terrible experiences every time since the week they’ve opened. 4 times that the gas pumps didn’t work and had to go inside to pay. 2 times that they were out of hotdogs, 3 times where the food looked really old, 1 time out of nacho cheese,2 times no lids, every time the employees look unprofessional and “preoccupied” they make you feel like you are in their way from socializing.

Tonight was the straw that broke the camels back. The pump was not working so I went inside to pay and purchased a car wash which we were told was open until 10. I go to car wash at 9:04 the machine takes my code and tells me “go” i pull in to a closed door. I wait a few minutes and call the store. After 3 tries the lady answers the phone and tells me she will send someone over. 10 minutes later I call back 2 more times before she answers only to tell me they actually closed at 9 😡 why didn’t she send anyone to tell me? She tells me to come tomorrow and get my car wash. So I just waisted my time and have to make another trip all the way to this place and waist my gas!

Save your time and money and just go to QT where the customer service is always fast...
