Rocky Top Sports World, Gatlinburg, TN
I recently had the pleasure of attending a soccer tournament at Rocky Top Sports World, and I can confidently say it’s a fantastic facility for competitive sports! The complex is impressive, featuring clean, top-notch fields for both American football and soccer, making it a premier destination for athletes and teams from across the country.
While parking can be a bit challenging, especially with so many events happening simultaneously, the excitement in the air makes it worth it. Arriving early and being prepared for all-day activities is key, as there are numerous teams and families enjoying the various sports taking place.
The staff at Rocky Top Sports World are incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved. The concessions available at tournament pricing are a nice touch, perfect for fueling up between games. I recommend planning your own meals for all-day, as you’ll want to stay energized for the action-packed games!
Additionally, the facility is well-maintained, with clean restrooms and serviced portable restrooms available throughout the complex, which is always appreciated during busy events.
Overall, if you enjoy competitive sports, Rocky Top Sports World is the place to be while in the Gatlinburg area. I’m already looking forward to returning for future sporting events! Highly...
Read moreWe went to Rocky Top for the Turkey Bowl and was extremely disappointed not only did the game times keep changing but the 5-6yr old ended up playing a 8u team... My little boy got poked in the same eye 4 times to the point that he couldn't not open his eye all the way (weird it happens 4 times in the same eye in that short of time frame but hey i guess it could happen right) when we disputed the ages to Rocky Top the admitted that we played a 8U team but said sorry nothing they can do about it that we are out for the championship. Then they let the 5-6 team from the same group of the 8u play in the championship how is this right they didn't beat us the 8u did.. we address the concern that the kids could have been hurt to Rocky Top and was laughed at. If this is the type of thing you guys promote we wont be back.. this was suppose to be fun for the kids and i don't see how playing kids that much bigger and older is fun i know my son hated it. When he seen the kids playing for the championship he looked at me and said mom that is not the team I played why are they smaller.. Try explaining that to a child.. Thank you Rocky Top for teaching my child at such a young age how dirty people can be and how people can cheat and not be honest and get away with it.. and how being honest and working hard sometimes gets you nothing...
Read moreWe took our 5/6 year old team her to play in the Thanksgiving bowl. During this time we played and won against two teams that are in our league division at home. We traveled 5 hours to play here. Upon arrival all children had to be present Wednesday evening for weigh ins and all coaches had to attend a coaches meeting. On Friday the Atlanta Chargers arrived. They were given a special weigh in and their coaches did not attend a meeting at all. We watched them play the Cramerton Panthers the day before we were supposed to play them. We went to the tournament directors immediately following the game and demanded roster checks, told them about helmet to helmet contact, and how the kids appeared to be much older than 5/6. We were told that was unacceptable and they would take care of it. The next day during our championship game we were met with a quick roster check, forged documents and armed police officers. Tournament officials told us we could play or forfeit, so our boys played these kids that were 2-3 years older. We only “lost” by 6 points but we would have enjoyed a fairly played tournmanet, not a tournament that exploited our children to simply make more money. Cheaters never win...
