Clean well maintained campground in a great location to access Smokey Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. The trolly access to Gatlinburg was great they have an app where you can track it so you are not sitting out there waiting for it plus it’s free. Sites are small and tight together with no privacy, my site directly overlooked the playground which was only used on one day i was there and the sound did carry when it was used which i didn’t care for. Check your slides before you start setting up, the rv power boxes are not in a good spot if you have a driver-side slide out, i had to reposition on the pad to allow the slide to fit. Bathrooms were clean but showers only had thin curtains no solid doors separating the changing area from the room for security of belongings. Staff was always pleasant and helpful with directions and such as needed.

10/10 or 5/5 I guess. Place was small, quaint and the perfect getaway for those who want to have the outdoor experience without the hassle of setting up a tent and everything else full on camping entails. They also had spots for RV trailers/campers, treehouses and “primitive” tent sites. We stayed in their 2-person safari tent. The late arrival process was super easy, just giving them a call for a heads up. When we got to our tent the lights were already on to great us along with our last name on the chalkboard to let us know that was where we were staying. They also had the fan/AC running for us as well in the back/bedroom of the tent! Bathrooms/showers and overall campground area was very well kept. Would definitely come back again and recommend to friends/family.

Funny enough, 29 years ago to the month, my whole family took a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennnesse and went camping. When my husband and I told my Dad where we were staying, he was pretty sure it was the same campground as the one we stayed at in 1990 when I was 11 years old. Sure enough, Dad was able to find the old videos he had taken with his bulky VHS Camcorder. We had a screened "living room" and the 5 of us slept in a tent. Fortunately, today my husband and I have much more comfortable accommodations. It is so neat to see how the campground had changed and how much I have changed...my long hair in a braid, funky bangs, and shorts that look like a parachute😂. I loved the 2 little retro trailers and matching Adirondack chairs!! Great place!

We've stayed at camp leconte twice. First time as a four day family smoky mountain summer trip. This stay was just a night stop over on the way to the Biltmore.

It is very convenient to the park and gatlinburg. The gatlinburg city trolley even has a stop out front.

The grounds are very nice and clean. Enough space on our pull through site for our slides and awning. There is a provided picnic table and fire ring. Full hook up 50 amp service. Gravel pad was level and plenty long for 40 ft class A and tow vehicle.

The pool (summer visit, not open last week of march) was big enough for the kids to enjoy. There is a covered common patio with ping pong table and bags game set up.

Doggie bags (pet waste) stands around the grounds. No pet waste was observed left around the grounds. Campers kept their dogs leashed; no excessive barking heard during our stay.

The folks staying at leconte were friendly, kept their sites picked up, and were respectful of quiet hours. Seemed like mostly families in the rv sites with some young fellas staying in the primitive section.

Bath house was VERY nice and new. Multiple toilets and shower stalls (which were handicap accessible and small ramp up to sidewalk). You know the normal water on the floor at the end of the night, but well stocked and clean. Laundry machines worked very well.

Check in process was quick and easy with online reservations. Late check in paperwork left in a basket at the store/bathhouse. Available sites for folks with no reservations were listed on a chalkboard with other helpful info. Employees/hosts at the counter were helpful and easy to deal with. Camp store was nice but small and had the basics. Firewood and ice available at the store.

Only complaint is the road noise while we are outside. This is on a multilaned highway with semis going by at full speed at all hours. Though we were at the front of the park, we sleep with our ac unit's fans running and had no...

If you’re seeking the epitome of luxury camping nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Smokies, look no further than this hidden gem in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Our recent stay was nothing short of phenomenal, earning it a solid five-star rating.

First and foremost, cleanliness reigns supreme here. The meticulously maintained grounds boast solid surface sites, ensuring a hassle-free set-up for campers. Whether your’re pitching a tent or parking your RV, the level, well-kept sites provide a comfortable base for your wilderness adventures.

What truly sets this campground apart, however, are the unique accommodations. From charming treehouses perched among the branches to lavish Safari luxury tents, every option exudes comfort and style. It’s an experience that seamlessly blends the serenity of nature with the indulgence of upscale amenities. You won’t find a better luxury camping experience in the Smokies, guaranteed.

A standout feature of our stay was the well-stocked camp store. Forget something essential? No worries. From camping gear to snacks and souvenirs, they got you covered. It’s a convenience that enhances the overall experience, ensuring you can focus on enjoying your time in the great outdoors.

Of course, no luxury camping experience would be complete without top-notch bathroom and shower facilities. Here, they’re first class all the way. In summary, our time as a well experienced camping family at Camp Leconte exceeded all expectations. If you’re craving a memorable escape to the Smokies, this is the place to be. Highly...

Since the pandemic started my two 6 year old daughters have been asking about "glamping". We found this place based on a parenting blog that I follow and decided to check it out. We stayed in Tree House 1. The main reason we went with the tree house is because of them having a bathroom with a shower inside of them. My daughter tends to go to the bathroom a lot at night and I didn't feel like making the trek to the bath house at 4 am. Also with young kids, it's easier to shower them in our own personal bathroom. The treehouse has a small bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. There is a large bed and a loft area with a mattress pad. Be aware that there is electricity, but no heat or air conditioning. Instead of windows, the walls of the treehouse are screens.............similar to a large screen porch. We chose a weekend in October in hopes to enjoy some fall weather and see the leaves changing color. During our weekend, it dropped to about 40 degrees at night and it was cold in that treehouse. We had blankets, sleeping bags, and a heated blanket to keep us warm at night. We cooked most of our food at the fire pit outside the treehouse. There is also a charcoal grill. I will admit that you are above the camper area of the resort and the sound does travel up but I did not find it annoying. Be aware the this is very close to the parkway and another side road and you will hear traffic throughout the night. Even though it was cold at night, we all had a great time and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a camping experience along with some...
