Park Rangers rule the roost. I have always been grateful that the Park Rangers are keeping watch. They always do a wonderful job keeping the park guests safe so that our memories will be happy ones. An example is when I was approximately seven years old, black bears ventured into the campground and were dangerously close to my family's tent, literally within mere inches of my head as I lay sleeping. It was the brave park ranger who came to the rescue and frightened the bears away by banging two trash can lids together . The Ranger gave all of the campers a stern lecture regarding our food and proper methods of keeping the bears out of our camping site. My parents later informed me how close those black bears actually were from my head. Scary, but we survived and returned many times, and there were no more close calls with...
