Place is a joke, like everyone else here has said. If you can stay away, do it. November 4th, I get to the front desk & explain that I either have covid, pneumonia or really bad bronchitis. I was having a lot of chest congestion, coughing nonstop & a sore throat. They bring me back to get my vitals & send me back to the waiting room because no rooms were available. Understandable around this time of year. I waited for about 45 minutes, not too bad. They bring me back & screen for covid, flu and RSV. Once again, I am sent back out in the waiting room waiting for my results. I waited about 2.5 hours. They find out I have bronchitis & give me 2 different prescriptions to pick up.
I get to my local pharmacy (Walgreens) same day & they only had one prescription available & let me know they did not have the other one until Monday at least. I go there Monday to pick it up & they tell me they do not carry it & Iāll have to call another pharmacy to see. Okay fine. I call another pharmacy (Rite Aid) & they do not carry it as well.
I did what anyone else would do, I call the ER and let them know the prescription they prescribed me, is not available at any pharmacies Iāve called. Front desk lady tells me to have my original pharmacy give them a call, so they can figure it out. I go ahead & call pharmacy and give them the number to speak with the doctor. Saying something about how they donāt have that in stockāduh, I already know that. By this point, Iām already pissed having to call multiple different pharmacies which I SHOULD NOT. I call ER back and explain to them NO pharmacies have this available. If your pharmacy can fill it, Iāll come get it. If you canāt fill it, please call a pharmacy that will have it. I have called 2 different ones already. I give her a list of ones to call that I have not yet. She says āOkay, we will do that. Doctor is looking up your files right now & we will call you back.ā Lady at front desk is now saying to me go ahead and grab the over the counter one because āitās still the same.ā Iām telling her, āNO, for 1, I am not using my own money to purchase medicine that is not the same, and 2, my insurance has already paid for my visit & the medicine Iām supposed to get.ā By this point, Iām doing the run around game with the ER trying to figure out a damn pharmacy that carries what I need. Iām so angry by this point and go ahead and call Walmart to see if they have it available. Sure enough, they do!! WOW! What a surprise, exactly what I told them to do while I waited in the mean time. Donāt worry, Iāll do your job for you. :/ Front desk staff is ridiculous. Sit back and play on the phones, laugh and giggle about nonsense while they should be working. Really uneducated, get someone in there that knows what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am hard of hearing which basically means for me that I am deaf on my left side. The front desk lady was more than helpful and accommodating to that fact when the doctor came in, he barely helped me. They didn't even ask where I wanted the persciptions sent to and sent them walmsrt in ashtabula. I told them I wanted it printed out so I could go to cvs in Willoughby and the RN named Heather argued with me that nothing was open and thats where I had my persciptions sent before. I guess I was interuppting their peaceful night of them looking at facebook on their phones. All of this happened between 10:30-11:00pm. They were very rude in the back and not understanding that I couldnt hear them with the masks on. I'm sorry I can't hear and don't know sign. If it's that much of an issue, then I will not be returning here. I had every intention of getting my perceptions filled at the CVS in willoughby and now cant since they sent it to the ashtabula walmart who somehow has it filled at almost midnight when their pharmacy closes at 9. I fully expect disciplinary action to be taken on the doctor and rn that was there tonight and be paid back $40 for gas that I wasted trying to get my perscriptions filled. this er can fully...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first site it looks like a nice little small town hospital with nice folks but shocker it's not at all that.My family and I have not had a good experience sense going there. They don't seem to value all people especially when your older.Have you ever walked into a room and felt like everyone was talking about you before you walked in ?yes it's awful and I felt like my health concerns were not addressed and of all people the ladies who collects your info from her rolling table informed me I was fine.My husband wasn't allowed to come back with me even tho everyone else had thier family back there.Oh we'd had more nasty experiences there than not.Sadly this is our home and after many years traveling we decided to retire here and now reconsidering for medical is very important and we have traveled and lived everywhere and sadly the hospital lacks what it needs to be a good place to get care. I really hope there are better hospitals here.So sad and was hoping for better in a small town so wonderful...
