Unfortunately, I took my Macbook here first. I had an issue with my computer which I have had once before a couple years prior and it was a 5 minute fix at that time. Took my computer here hoping for the same. Was told it was initially an issue with my USB-C ports so I spent a week waiting for the parts to show up and then a day to get the new ports installed. When I picked up my computer, I was happy to see I was able to power my laptop on, but now it was not recognizing the battery. The only way I could use my MacBook now was if it was physically plugged in to the wall, and every time I accidentally unplugged it, it would immediately kill my computer. He ordered a new battery which also took a week to get delivered and it took a day to install. When I went to pick up my computer this time, I was notified that it is not a battery issue and it would require replacement of the logic board. I figured I would cut my losses at this point. Was surprised when he charged me $60 for servicing when I felt like he really hadnât done much of anything and I had previously been quoted that it would be $25. Decided to try one other place not far from Experimax just to get a second opinion. Within 4 hours they had called me to let me know they had completely fixed my computer. The issue turned out to be a cable that had been damaged when my ports were replaced.
Do your research and get more than one opinion before calling your computer...
Read moreChris has excellent computer skills and the willingness to go above and beyond to fix electronics. This comment comes from someone who worked with the best buy geek squad for many years. My kid spilled coffee on my six-month-old MacBook Pro while I was in Dubai. When I contacted Experimax in Gilbert, AZ, their response was to bring it, and they will try to clean it to save me money; that is precisely what Chris did with diligence. The only part he replaced was the touchpad, and he was knowledgeable and informed throughout the process. The repair cost me six times less than I would've paid the Apple store. Now, let's rewind: I tried to fix the computer in Dubai, and they said I needed a new keyboard, but no repair shop had a US keyboard for my model. When I was getting ready to come back to the US, I contacted a place in Houston, where I was going first, and I contacted Experimax Gilbert because I was planning to travel to Gilbert a week after. The location in Houston suggested that I take it to the Apple store because they can't source parts for the new MacBook Pro model. The Apple store I went to recommended that I replace the whole front panel, the battery, and many other things that will cost $1100+. I bought the computer for $1600. There is no way I would've given them $1100 anyway. Thank you, Chris, and the people at Experimax in Gilbert, AZ. Keep up the...
Read moreThe guys at Experimax are awesome!!! My 2015 MacBook Pro lost a battle with an unstable water bottle. I tried different things to revive it but to no avail. I had a current backup so no data was lost, but I had a huge deadline for work, so I had to purchase a replacement. I let it sit for a few months, reluctant to simply "throw it away". I'm glad I didn't! I decided to pursue revival one more time to see if I could get it working for my son to use. I took it to Experimax and was greeted by Ryan and Russell...super nice guys. They were cautiously optimistic that something could be done, but even with that, the odds were slim because water and electronics don't get along too well. I left it with them for a few days so they could work on it at their convenience. A couple of days later I got a call and was told it was fixed!!! Chris worked his magic on it, got it all cleaned up, and my son has been using it with no problems ever since.
I highly recommend Experimax. They are easy to talk to and they definitely know their craft. Big thanks to Chris and everyone there for making things...
