Gilbert Tuscany Village — Local services in Gilbert

Horribly cold, I wore mine and my husband's jacket and still froze for 2 hours. The men's and Ladies bathrooms were the only warm place in the building..We took our friends and couldn't have been more embarrassed by the server, service and food. Our 1 guest, took his food up twice to have it heated enough to eat. Chips were so salty, they were inedible. We were there 2 hours to get such a horrible experience and no sorries from server or gm. No discounts on the cold food we all got, poor service or no asking to refill our drinks or more chips.. we will never go back, the only reason we came and brought another couple with us was because our last visit was so bad, they sent us a $40 gift card. I don't know how you will ever stay in business with so many great Mexican restaurants around the valley. For you message to say, "voted the best Mexican restraunt" what???? I'd give a minus one if I could....

There are a variety of shops here, though, to be honest I have only been to three locations. I have been to the Henhouse Cafe (which, if you have not been there then you are missing out) and usually at hours when everything else is closed. I have been to the pediatrician (excellent group there) and to Rancho de Tia Rosa (excellent food).

What I will say (and the reason this is not a 5-star review) is that the parking lot layout is one of the worst designs I have ever encountered including a very confusing bit of stupidity on the south side. More than almost any other parking lot I have encountered in the country your head must be on a swivel and driving defensively is an absolute must. You have to account not only for the inordinate amount of terrible Arizona drivers but the confused drivers due to the parking lot's...

There's a LOT to enjoy in this plaza. You want some baked perfection, check out Rise Up Bakery. Not kidding, one of the BEST bakeshops I've ever been to, worldwide, and it's right here in lil ol' Gilbert. Just to the south is Tuscany theatre, a FANTASTIC place to catch a youth production that is anything but "kid stuff" they do an AMAZING job.
