Rent To Own is a Predatory business basically given the rights to take an item/s and charge up to 5x of it's Retail worth over the long run.They are not helping anyone who is struggling, they are in fact hurting those that are struggling and stuffing their pockets with YOUR money. My advice to anyone reading this review thinking about Renting To Own is to stay far and clear of SHOWPLACE. Save up the money and buy it from a Retail store in ONE PAYMENT. If that's not an option then look around on Community Boards and Marketplaces.You'll be glad You did when others are still paying their weekly/monthly payments year's from now. The only reason I chose to Rent To Own from them is because a friend of mine suggested it was a good idea and easy. I will NEVER EVER Rent To Own from SHOWPLACE or any other similar business again. Lesson learned. These type of businesses need to DIE, and anyone who works for these businesses should be ashamed of themselves especially the OWNER/s. Long story short, I was unaware about a balance that was from a couple years ago. Instead of trying to contact me, after I told Kelly to always contact me because I respond faster and can get things done. Kelly messages my husband on Facebook from her personal Facebook. Well my wife called last week because we just bought a house and our washer went out. She told the lady that she needed a washer like now and the lady said ok come on in and we will take care of you. We go in and pick a washer and the lady said fill out a form and said we had to pay the first month we said ok no problem. So my wife was filling out the form and the lady said well we have to verify your address so we will have to deliver it and we can't until Wednesday. So we left.
