Green River Ferry — Local services in Glasgow

I wish zero stars were available. Whoever was working the ferry on July 19 2024 at 4 pm tried to kill my family and I. We were canoeing and paddled up to ferry. It was stopped on the right side of road. We looked and no cars were in line to board. We start to paddle across and they turn engine on and start to come across. My family and I started frantically paddling backwards but we were too close. We hit the side of the boat. My daughter then hit us while in her boat. We grabbed the side of the ferry and pulled ourselves to the other end of ferry and again frantically paddled away from boat. I’ve lived in Mammoth Cave area all my life and I am 51 and I’m sorry to say that Friday March 17th 2023 we arrived at the ferry before 6:00 and were harassed by the ferryman because he was so lazy or in such a hurry that he didn’t want us to cross because it was 5:58 when we arrived. I’ve never been treated so badly or so rude in my life. I do my job until the doors are locked you need to make sure you do yours until 6:00 pm. By the way is a ridiculous time to close?? Memorial Day May 29,2023. 8:30 am we wanted to cross ferry. No one was in line and ferry was on our side. We stopped at sign, but then proceeded down hill to board ferry. The attendant came out of his little area and asked where we were from. We responded, “Bowling Green!” (We have crossed ferry 100’s of times!”) He then proceeded to ask us, “Do the stop signs mean something different in BG?
