The Comic Book Store — Local services in Glassboro

This is an update after 3 years..It seems certain things haven't changed. I haven't been back since one of their workers got ill mannered with me over not giving my order a "once over" Apparently i made them angry because I couldn't pay for the order I placed and they had to put the cards back. You'd think "customers first" and maybe they were just busy and having a bad day since the one employee had to bother his partner to put the cards back. It doesn't matter though, because I'm not sure I'll ever go back. Also the people that go in there, some are no fun to deal with. They have a decent but slim online selection, and their prices are a bit high and if you sell them something, you'll probably be disappointed in what you get. It's been the same story for years though and their clientele only seems to grow, so good for them. It's got good priced deckboxes and sleeves. A decent in store selection of packs. Other than that nothing special at all..Still holds true that they are one of the only places in the area, so I guess if you want that type of merchandise, then they're your only real choice locally. Unless you wanna go to Egg Harbor. Sucks..but it is what it is. Oh and keep in mind, over the years I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here, so it wasn't a one time review. Would give a...

Overall an awesome comic book + tcg / collectibles spot!! I called ahead yesterday (5.29.25) to see if they had any destined rivals in stock for my son and I to open, and they did not disappoint!! Huge selection of not just Destined rivals, but also most modern packs that I could see, some older stuff and a few vintage hanging about. Also, a nice selection of singles if you're looking to grab that chase!!

There was a 1 item policy for each particular item (Bravo to them for that as well) for the destined rivals release and we got a ETB AND a booster bundle for a couple bucks over MSRP, which we all know is HUGE!! More than happy with the guys at the shop, the amount they had in stock also felt good that there's not some "shortage" forcing me to pay ridiculous prices for cards. But not The Comic Book Shop, couldn't be happier with the little shop!!

And to boot, the kid pulled 2 SIR's, 2 full art EX's, and 2 regular EX's from 12 packs total!! Super fun to pull the new set, and thanks to the folks over at CBS, 10 out of 10, forget the 5 star rating, these guys...

I have learned comic books make an awful investment, after selling a two large box collection of comics from the 80s, 90s and 2000s (full first print sets of alien, alien versus predator, predator, batman versus predator, superman versus alien, signed copy of Tom Savinis make up manual, all the Gloom Cookie series, and a full box of thick graphic novels and poison elves almanacs, etc, etc, etc) they were worth little more than a 10th of what I paid, $50! Lol, the rest of the boxes I have of superman and batman and wonder woman and super hero comics I will just donate to good will, spent a third of the money just getting to the store, we need a store in Atlantic County area. The staff were super nice and friendly and worked very quickly to assess the value of my haul. Shop is very clean and a good size and owner says they are opening a second store. If you live close by you can get some great deals as the comics i sold are only worth pennies on the dollar. Go get em and give them some business and visit goodwill in Egg...
